Lighthouse Family Retreat is a faith-based non-profit that exists to strengthen every family living through childhood cancer. We host restorative retreats and develop helpful resources so that families and their support systems can find hope in God and help in their fight. Our flagship offering is a respite for families living through childhood cancer, who we call our Retreat Families. We serve th

em by organizing volunteers, called Family Partners, to provide a week of deep rest, relational connection, great laughter, and palpable kindness. Over the last 20 years, we have learned a thing or two from the families we serve. From podcasts to blog posts to activity books and devotionals, we create resources that we hope will encourage your family during this journey.

It looks like a family who arrived at retreat exhausted and left knowing they weren't alone.

It looks like kids running free. Parents finally exhaling. A picnic blanket full of people who don't need things explained to them.

Childhood cancer is one of the loneliest roads a family can walk. You made sure these families didn't walk it alone.

She didn't know you were coming.

But when Katie sat down at the family picnic on the last night of retreat, surrounded by families who understood, kids who finally felt free, and a table someone else had prepared, she said it out loud:

"These are my people."

That moment exists because of donors like you.

This summer, 270 families living through childhood cancer will come to Lighthouse Family Retreat. On the final night, they'll gather at a family picnic. And they'll find what Katie found, rest, community, and hope.
