On a beautiful summer evening, members and guests of Rotary Club of North Fulton gathered at Central City Tavern in downtown Alpharetta to socialize, strengthen friendships, and discuss projects for the next Rotary year. Rotary is about more than service—it’s also about building meaningful relationships, and members enjoy spending time together to deepen those connections. A friendly trivia competition added to the fun and made for an enjoyable evening of fellowship and camaraderie.

On June 3, Rotary Club of North Fulton held a CPR training event at Chateau Elan on behalf of the Chateau Elan Military Support Foundation. This successful event raised $1250 for this deserving foundation.

This was the eighth CPR class our club conducted at Chateau Elan. The first two classes, held last year, were offered exclusively to retired members of the armed forces. Following the success of those sessions, residents expressed interest in making the training available to the broader Chateau Elan community as a fundraiser for their Foundation.

These most recent classes carried even greater significance, as two Chateau Elan residents recently experienced cardiac arrest events. As a result, interest in CPR and AED training increased substantially, reinforcing the importance of teaching these lifesaving skills.

North Fulton Rotary Club held its 24th Interfaith Prayer Breakfast on Thursday, May 7, at St. David’s Episcopal Church in Roswell. In contrast to the heavy rain outside, the room was filled with open hearts and minds as we gathered to hear inspiring messages of hope, generosity, and love.

We are deeply thankful to our friends at St. David’s Episcopal Church for sharing their beautiful fellowship hall for this meaningful event. Rector Re*****on Slone shared a heartfelt message, infused with his signature humor. Soumaya Khalifa of the Islamic Speakers Bureau of Atlanta encouraged us to live with “radical amazement.” Cantor Nancy Kassel of Temple Beth Tikvah moved attendees with a beautiful song, and Siva Velv, Hindu Spiritual Guide of the Chinmaya Mission, taught us, or at least attempted to teach us,
a Sanskrit chant.

Our keynote speaker, Kirk Driskell, founder of Vision Warriors, shared a deeply personal story that shaped his philosophy of giving away what you have, even something as small as a kind interaction with a stranger, because it may change a life.

We were honored to welcome Alpharetta Mayor Jim Gilvin, Roswell Mayor Mary Robichaux, and other elected officials from across the North Fulton community.

We are also grateful for the support of our neighboring Rotarian clubs who attended and the District Governor line — DG Steve Ivory, DGE Cynthia Edwards, DGN Buck Buchanan, and DGEN Amy Benton — as well as several Past District Governors, including Bob Hagan, Jim Squire, Gordon Owens, and our keynote speaker, Kirk Driskell.

This annual Interfaith Prayer Breakfast reminds us to count our blessings, share those blessings with others, and recognize that we are far more alike than we are different.

We were proud to lend a hand today alongside our friends at the Roswell Rotary Club during the American Red Cross Blood Drive at Roswell Junction. ❤️

Did you know there’s currently a critical need for blood donations to help replenish depleted supplies? Someone in the U.S. needs blood every two seconds.

The Roswell Rotary Club regularly hosts blood drives—their next one is June 24 from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Roswell Junction. If you’re able, consider donating and making a lifesaving difference.

Thank you, Roswell Rotary Club, for including us in today’s impactful event!

We had the privilege of spending an incredible afternoon with the Cambridge High Interact Club, partnering with The Sandwich Project to make a real difference in our community. Together, we prepared and packaged 200 sandwiches for individuals and families facing food insecurity.

What makes this effort so meaningful is more than the meals—it’s the connection. The Sandwich Project brings students and community leaders side by side, creating an opportunity to serve, collaborate, and lead with compassion. It’s inspiring to see young people step up, work as a team, and contribute to something bigger than themselves.

Grateful for the energy, heart, and dedication everyone brought to this effort. Small acts, when done together, can create a powerful impact. đź’™

Members of North Fulton Rotary had a fantastic time celebrating the Rotary year at the Annual District Conference at Lake Lanier this past weekend! It’s always meaningful to connect with fellow Rotarians across the district and learn how they’re making an impact in their communities.

We’re proud to share that our club was awarded Club of the Year (Category 2) during the weekend festivities. Congratulations, President Erik! We appreciate your leadership and dedication to Service Above Self. 👏

Several of our members were also recognized by District Governor Steve Ivory:

🏆 Mike Mudd received the Rotary International Meritorious Service Award for his continued leadership of The Rotary Foundation at the district level. This prestigious award is presented to very few Rotarians — a truly well-deserved honor for Mike!

👏 Rick Clark received the Al Daniel Membership Award for making a significant impact on membership growth and retention. He was also recognized as a top new member sponsor. Keep up the great work, Rick!

🌟 Joy Manbeck was recognized for her three years of service as an Assistant Governor, supporting four clubs in the district: Dunwoody, Marietta Metro, Roswell, and Johns Creek–North Fulton.

✨ Lisa Gelber received a Rising Star Award from District Governor Steve Ivory for her work as an Assistant Governor for five clubs: Atlanta, Alpharetta, East Cobb, Sandy Springs, and Atlanta Brasil.

Congratulations to all who attended the conference — and thank you for your continued commitment to making a difference in our communities!
