So much fun was had while packing boxes Sunday night at TNT. Everyone did such a great job and we were able to pack 50 boxes for Operation Christmas Child!!!

"For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come." 1 Timothy 4:8

What is your most valuable possession?
Historical discoveries give us clues about what people value. Egyptian Pharaohs were buried with statues, thrones, and weapons hoping for prosperity and victory in the next life. Vikings buried their dead in ships along with jewelry and animal sacrifices. Today, we guard our homes, cars and bank accounts like treasure.

The Apostle Paul also knew the importance of valuables. In the Roman empire, athletic games were a serious business. Athletes trained as if their life depended on it. Paul tells his protégé, Timothy, physical training isn't worthless. Pushups, jogging, and calisthenics helps us maintain our weight and reduces stress.

However, there's something that does not decay like our bodies after our final breath. Godliness, he says, has value for all things. Godliness transforms something far greater than our figure or physique. We receive new hearts and become new creations the moment we trust in the Lord Jesus as our Savior and Lord. Christians keep their minds on things above, not things of this world which are temporary. (Colossians 3:2) As seasons change and time passes by, eternity is much closer than we realize.

TNT-Teens Need Truth met tonight at Alpha Elementary School to have food , fellowship and fun. So happy to see our original group along with some new faces!! Feeling blessed that we had such a big group tonight! Next Sunday we are meeting at the church for volleyball. Going to enjoy this beautiful weather that God has graced us with! Hope everyone brings a friend next week with them.
