Thank you to everyone who made the first-ever Strides for Health 5K such a success!

Because of our incredible fundraisers, teams, sponsors, supporters, and everyone who walked, ran, donated, and cheered us on, we raised $6,582 for Virginia Garcia Memorial Foundation.

We are so grateful for everyone who took part in this first-year event and helped turn every stride into support for accessible, compassionate healthcare in our community. Thank you for being part of Strides for Health. We can't wait to do it again!

Join us for ¡Prospera! Friday, September 25, 2026, at the Portland Art Museum, as we celebrate Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center's commitment to care.

Prospera means to thrive, to flourish, to prosper. It's what we want for every patient, every family, our entire community, and thriving isn't something we do alone. It's something we build together.

This year, ¡Prospera! will support our efforts to keep patients connected to the health coverage and care they rely on as Oregon Health Plan requirements change.

Today marks 51 years since Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center first opened its doors on July 3, 1975.

Virginia's story inspired a community to envision a health care system where everyone has access to high-quality, compassionate care. That vision continues to guide Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center today.

Each year, the Health Center serves more than 52,000 patients across Washington and Yamhill counties, providing primary care, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, and mobile outreach services that strengthen the health of our communities.

As we celebrate this anniversary, we are grateful for the patients, staff, supporters, and community partners whose dedication continues to carry Virginia's legacy forward. Thank you for being part of this work.

Thanks to First Federal, our McMinnville Clinic now has a new ADA-accessible exam table!

Pictured here is our Interpreter, Veronica, helping us celebrate this important addition. This new high-to-low table ensures patients of all abilities can receive care safely, comfortably, and with dignity.

It is one more step toward removing barriers and making health care accessible for everyone in our community. We’re so grateful for partners like First Federal who help make it possible!

Virginia Garcia and George Fox University have teamed up to launch a physical therapy pilot program, supported in part by a grant secured by our Foundation team that equipped our spaces for these services.

By embedding physical therapy within primary care, patients can access timely, non-invasive treatment for chronic pain and musculoskeletal concerns where they already receive care. This supports early intervention, encourages non-opioid pain management, and improves daily functioning and mobility.

It is a natural extension of Virginia Garcia's integrated care model.

The pilot is currently underway at our Newberg Wellness Center, with plans to expand to all primary care sites. All Virginia Garcia patients are eligible through this partnership.

This is whole-person care in action!
