Colorado Preservation, Inc. is seeking a Preservation Services Director to join our team and help communities across Colorado preserve the historic places that matter to them.
This full-time position plays a critical role in CPI’s statewide work, providing preservation expertise and technical assistance while developing and managing projects with property owners, nonprofits, municipalities, contractors, and other partners. Responsibilities include grant writing and administration, project planning, preservation technical assistance, community outreach, budgeting, financial tracking, and helping connect communities with the resources and professionals they need to move preservation projects forward.
We’re looking for someone with a background in historic preservation or a related field who brings strong writing and communication skills, grant experience, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects independently. Knowledge of the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards is also an important part of the role.

💼 Permanent, Full-Time
💰 $50,000–$65,000
🚗 Some statewide and overnight travel required.
