Come be a part of this great program.

We are excited to announce that the Alma Police Department is hosting a Citizen Police Academy, offering a unique opportunity for Alma area residents to gain valuable insights into our police department and its operations. This engaging program is designed to provide both classroom instruction and hands-on learning experiences.

Classes will be held on Monday nights, commencing on February 2nd, 2026, from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm, spanning a total of seven weeks.

Additionally, there will be a special Saturday event at the gun range, and the culmination of the program will be marked by graduation ceremonies on Monday, March 16th, at 6:00 pm.

To ensure your participation is comfortable and fulfilling, we will be providing meals and all necessary supplies at each class and event. Your time is valuable to us, and we are committed to making this experience both educational and enjoyable.

If you are interested in joining us for this enlightening journey, we encourage you to apply promptly. Space is limited, and certain restrictions apply.

🎄 A Heartfelt Thank You from the Alma Police Focus Group! 🎄

Saturday was an incredible day of community, compassion, and teamwork. The Alma Police Focus Group would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the Alma Police Department, Arkansas Highway Police, Arkansas State Police, Kibler Police Department, Dyer Police Department, Mountainburg Police Department, and the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office for joining us to help shop for children in our community. Your support and enthusiasm made this event truly special.

We also want to thank all of our amazing volunteers and the Alma School District for your time, energy, and dedication. This program wouldn’t be possible without each of you.

A very special thank you to Alma Walmart for providing us our own space, as well as the associates who worked alongside us to make everything run smoothly. Your generosity and hospitality made a huge difference.

Because of this incredible community effort, we were able to shop for 128 Alma School District students this year. 💚💛

Thank you all for helping make the season brighter for so many children in Alma!

The Alma Police Focus Group has a new way for the community to donate!! For everyone that may not be aware, the Alma Police Focus Group is a 100% volunteer, non-profit organization that funds the annual Alma Police Department Shop With a Cop®️, Alma Police Department Citizens Police Academy, Alma Police Department Youth Academy, and our Scholarships. 🌟 What an AMAZING day on the course! 🌟

The 2nd Annual Alma Police Department Focus Group Golf Tournament was a HUGE success! 🏌️‍♂️⛳️

From a beautiful morning tee-off at Eagle Crest Golf Course to incredible drives, clutch putts, and even a few close calls on the hole-in-one challenge, today was filled with fun, laughter, and some pretty competitive golf! 💪

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to play, volunteer, or sponsor this event. 🙌 Your support helps fund important programs like Shop with a Cop, the APFG Scholarship Fund, Citizens Police Academy, and community cookouts that bring Alma closer together. ❤️

Congratulations to all of our winners today and a special shoutout to our first and second flight champs! 🏆

We couldn’t do this without our amazing community – together, we are working for a better community every day. 💙

We are so proud of Leigh’s dedication to the citizens of Alma. Many may not know this but Leigh is the President of the Alma Police Focus Group and does an amazing job.

Today we were able to celebrate with Esther Lal and her family. Esther was this years recipient of the Alma Police Focus Group Scholarship. We can’t wait to see what her future holds as she seeks her degree in nursing.

What an amazing turnout for the Inaugural Alma Police Focus Group Golf Tournament!! Some great golf was played and these very generous participants and sponsors raised a lot of money for some great causes.
