Support Bacon County 4-H & Get Fresh Produce! 🍀 Bacon County 4-H is excited to partner with Front Door Produce for our 4-H Produce Box Fundraiser! Enjoy a 20-pound box of fresh, farm-fresh produce while supporting Bacon County 4-H youth. Order now through November 2, 2026! Price: $35 per box + $3.15 tax (TOTAL COST $38.15 per box)

Pick-Up will be the week of November 16th at the Bacon Co. Extension Office (pick-up date TBA).

Each 20 lb produce box includes an assortment of seasonal vegetables. Contents will vary depending on seasonal availability, but boxes could consist of a combination of bell peppers, cucumbers, cabbage, green beans, corn, zucchini, yellow squash, jalapeños, and/or other fresh vegetables.

- Portfolio & Projects Work Day (9:00AM-5:00PM) – open to 7th to 12th graders intending to participate in Jr/Sr DPA
- Cotton Boll & Consumer Judging Practice (5:30-6:30 PM) - open to 4th - 12th grades

Tuesday, October 13th:
- Portfolio & Projects Work Day (9:00AM-5:00PM) – open to 7th to 12th graders intending to participate in Jr/Sr DPA
- Drama Club Practice (5:30-6:30 PM) – open to 4th - 12th grades

Save the dates!!! Summer 2027 may seem far away, but 4-H Summer Camp is where memories are made, friendships are formed, and adventures are waiting around every corner. There is sunshine, campfires, new friendships, exciting adventures, and LOTS of 4-H FUN to be had at summer camp!

• MARINE EXPLORATION CAMP @ Burton 4-H Center (6th-8th Grade): July 12-16, 2027

Don't forget!! DEADLINE to submit artwork entries is this coming Tuesday, October 13, 2026!

It's time for the Georgia 4-H Holiday Card Contest!! 🎄This contest is open to all 4th–12th grade 4-H’ers. We know we have some artists out there, so put your creativity to use and design a holiday card for the Georgia 4-H Foundation! All you have to do is submit an ORIGINAL drawing on an 8.5 x 5.5 inch (or 5.5 x 8.5 inch) sheet of white, unlined paper! Your artwork entries must include 4-H in the theme and be bright & colorful. No digitally created or AI entries will be accepted.

Bacon County 4-H’ers Emmie Lee and Yuna De Los Santos had a great time at Georgia 4-H’s Mission Make-It at Rock Eagle on September 11th–12th! Joined by our fantastic volunteer Michael Lee and 4-H Agent Becky Griffin, they spent the weekend “Cooking Up Solutions” through hands-on engineering challenges, teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving.

This year’s food-themed event challenged middle schoolers to use the engineering design process to tackle real-world problems and proving that STEM can be creative, fun, and definitely “nacho” average challenge! Programs like Mission Make-It show our 4-H’ers that STEM is about so much more than equations and experiments…it’s about asking questions, testing ideas, working together, and learning from mistakes. These programs build confidence as our 4-H’ers discover they have what it takes to create solutions for the future.

We’re proud of Emmie and Yuna for representing Bacon County 4-H and taking advantage of this awesome learning opportunity! And, a BIG thank you to Michael Lee for giving his time to support our youth! Our 4-H program couldn’t provide all of these wonderful experiences without dedicated volunteers who are willing to invest their time, talents, and encouragement in our young people. We appreciate our volunteers more than you know!

Attention 7th – 12th grade 4-H’ers: We’d love to have you join us tomorrow, October 7, 2026, from 3:30–5:00 p.m. at the Bacon County 4-H Office for a fun afternoon at our October County Council Jr/Sr Meeting. Calling all 6th–8th grade 4-H’ers! It’s time to register for Junior Conference 2026 at Rock Eagle 4-H Center! Join us November 14th–15th for a weekend packed with opportunities to learn, serve, dance, make new friends, and have fun!

Junior Conference is an exciting chance for middle school 4-H’ers to step outside their everyday routine, meet other 4-H’ers from across Georgia, build leadership skills, and make some unforgettable memories along the way.

Cost: $110 (1/2 cost for DPA participants)
Registration Deadline: October 28, 2026
