Old Business:
Test Plot, 7ac,: Planted food-grade beans, Tony and Jerome will take care of it.
Fertilizer: Jerome
EJ is the agronomist at the co-op in Hixton
Combining: Jerome will because they are food-grade
Committee: Tony, Jerome, Mike, Randy, ex-officio member: Bobby
Bryce Laufenberg, Logan Staszak: need to meet and do expense report/invoices
Verdict on the beans? Should have been sold
Discussion on holding a meeting to do planning for the test plot
Possibly a December/Jan meeting
The committee will contact each other to get it set up and report back

National Convention 10/28-10/31
Presenters: Zoie and Kami
Good opportunities to meet others from across the country
Everything got so expensive there
Honorary American Degrees, Zoie got to see her FFA choir director!
Some emotional speakers
Saw a lot of businesses in the convention area
Took coach bus with Dairyland schools
Attendees: Wendy, Zoie, Bryce, Kami, Fheonix, Emily (3 new people, 3 previous attendees)
Credentials: filled out an application, looking to change requirements for next year which may include degree requirements, officer requirements, etc
Were the funds sufficient?
Conversation about enrollment, dual credit
Challenges with scheduling
7th graders cannot document any of their activities, hours etc. because they cannot be a member with no ag classes
Ag on the Lawn drew both presenters to ag
What they’d like to see in the future:
More student involvement
More SAE opportunities
Limitations:
No ag class because it didn’t work
Lack of information
stigma/stereotypes
Laziness
Time
Some think that they cannot be in FFA and a sport

Bobby is going to reach out to Northern about the old one down by the water plant, as the city offered to give it back to the school
Looking to put it behind the bus garage, along with a chicken coop; all utilities are accessible there
Fundraisers
Leanna will reach out to North Branch in Humbird for soup supper w/grilled cheese in February 21-25
Motion made by Krista to spend $300 worth of product from the FFA meat/cheese/nuts fundraiser to be used for raffles or charitable events in the future. Seconded by Mary, motion passed.
