🎓 Congratulations to Braxton Gill, this year’s recipient of the **Howard and Ruthann Dickerhoof Scholarship** Braxton will attend Kent State University to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Established in memory of Howard and Ruthann Dickerhoof, this scholarship honors two individuals who dedicated their lives to service, family, and community. Howard was a U.S. Army veteran and longtime plumber, while Ruthann served Marlington Local Schools as a Registered Nurse for 29 years.

The Dickerhoof family created this scholarship to continue their parents’ legacy and support future generations of Marlington students.

🎓 Congratulations to Nathan Dipold, this year’s recipient of the Pontius Family Scholarship. Nathan will attend the University of Akron to study Electrical Engineering.

Established in 2022, the Pontius Family Scholarship honors Clarence and Isabel (Foltz) Pontius and their lifelong belief in the power of education. Despite growing up during the Great Depression and facing significant challenges, they worked tirelessly to provide opportunities for future generations and instilled the value of education in their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

With deep roots in Marlboro Township dating back to the 1930s, the Pontius family created this scholarship to help Marlington students pursue their educational dreams and continue a legacy built on hard work, perseverance, and learning.

We are proud to recognize Nathan Dipold and wish him continued success in his studies and future engineering career. 🧡🎓

🔸 Quinn Cernansky will attend Walsh University to major in Business and Marketing.
🔸 Brady Denham will attend the University of Mount Union to study Civil Engineering.

Established in 2010, this scholarship recognizes Marlington students who have excelled in both academics and athletics. Scott and Cheryl Robertson believed strongly in the value of hard work, sportsmanship, and educational achievement, and were proud to support some of Marlington’s student-athletes.

Established through a generous family gift, the Rita Moulin Scholarship honors the life and legacy of Rita (Schwallie) Moulin and encourages deserving Marlington seniors as they pursue their educational goals.

A devoted wife, mother, business owner, and community member, Rita played an essential role in the success of Moulin Products while balancing countless responsibilities on the family farm and in the business. She was known for her hard work, dedication to family, and generous spirit.

🎓 Congratulations to Mia Vigliotti, this year’s recipient of the **Jim and Jill Greiner Family Scholarship** Mia will attend the University of Akron to major in Music Performance and Music Education.

Established through the generosity of the Jim and Jill Greiner Family Charitable Fund, this scholarship honors the important role the Marlington Marching Dukes play in developing leadership, discipline, commitment, and teamwork.

Inspired by the experiences of their children, Mike ('98) and Julie ('01), the Greiner family created this scholarship to recognize students who have demonstrated dedication through at least three years of participation in band. While open to students pursuing any field of study, the award celebrates the lifelong lessons and friendships gained through the marching band experience.

🎓 Congratulations to Gavin Milosevich, this year’s recipient of the **Class of 1966 Military Award** Gavin will be serving his country in the Ohio Army National Guard.

Established by the Marlington Class of 1966 in honor of their 50th class reunion, this scholarship was the first award created by a graduating class and recognizes students who choose to serve in the United States military.

Created in memory of classmates Ed Dimmerling, Bill Prather, and Denny Wahl, who gave their lives in service to our nation, the scholarship honors their sacrifice and the service of all military men and women. It stands as a lasting tribute to duty, courage, and patriotism.

🎓 Congratulations to Braylon Battershell, this year’s recipient of the **Mike and Linda Pauli Family Scholarship** Braylon will attend Ohio Technical College to study Diesel Mechanics.

Established in 2022, this scholarship supports Marlington seniors pursuing two-year, technical, or trade programs. It honors Mike and Linda Pauli, lifelong Marlington supporters whose careers exemplify hard work, entrepreneurship, education, and community service.

Mike (’68) founded Pauli Electric in 1975, growing it from a one-man operation into a respected local business. Linda (Hoover) Pauli (’68), a lifelong learner and healthcare professional, served for 25 years as Director of the Student Health Center at the University of Mount Union.

Through this scholarship, the Pauli family continues its commitment to helping Marlington students build successful careers through technical and vocational education.

🎓 Congratulations to Olivia Callahan, this year’s recipient of the **Govern-Schisler Family Scholarship** Olivia will attend The Ohio State University to pursue a degree in Nursing.

Established in 2021 by Jodi Govern (’82), this scholarship honors the Govern and Schisler families and their deep roots in the Marlington community. The award supports deserving Marlington graduates attending a public Ohio university, with preference given to students attending The Ohio State University.

Through careers in law, education, business, military service, and community involvement, the Govern-Schisler family has demonstrated a longstanding commitment to hard work, service, and education.

🎓 Congratulations to Chloe Boy, this year’s recipient of the **Denver Werstler Scholarship** Chloe is enrolling at The Ohio State University Agricultural Technical Institute (ATI) to study Greenhouse and Nursery Management.

This scholarship honors the life and legacy of Denver “Denny” Werstler (’62), a lifelong Marlboro Township resident, accomplished research scientist, community leader, and devoted supporter of education, athletics, and the natural world.

A class president, co-valedictorian, and multi-sport athlete, Denny went on to earn degrees from the University of Mount Union and the University of Akron before building a distinguished career in polymer science and analytical chemistry. Beyond his professional accomplishments, he was known for his love of sports, community service, gardening, and environmental stewardship.

The Denver Werstler Scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership, community involvement, and an appreciation for the natural world—qualities that Denny exemplified throughout his life.

We are proud to recognize Chloe Boy and wish her continued success in her studies and future career. 🧡🌱🎓
