Homeschool Days start TOMORROW at Raptor Hallow! 🦅

We still have spots available for our first Homeschool Day featuring HAWKS! Students ages 6–14 will get to learn about the hawks that call Raptor Hallow home, meet some of our hawk ambassadors up close, and enjoy a fun, hands-on learning experience.

📚🦅 ** HOMESCHOOL DAYS ARE COMING TO RAPTOR HALLOW!** 🦉🐢

AGES 6-14

Bring science to life with up-close animal encounters, hands-on learning, and wildlife exploration! 🌿 Each Homeschool Day features a different learning topic, from hawks and owls to eagles, vultures, mammals, and reptiles!

📚 Lessons follow Ohio Learning Standards, with optional guided worksheets to help students learn along the way.

🦅October 8th Hawks

Discover the hawks that call Raptor Hallow home and learn about the species found throughout the United States! Students will explore what makes these birds unique and meet our hawk ambassadors up close. Activities follow Ohio Learning Standards, with an optional guided worksheet to reinforce learning.

🦅 October 15th Eagles & Vultures

Explore the fascinating world of eagles and vultures! Students will compare these two groups of birds, discover their unique adaptations, and learn about the important roles they play in nature. Meet these incredible birds up close through an educational experience aligned with Ohio Learning Standards, with an optional guided worksheet.

🦉October 22nd Owls

Uncover the secrets of the owl world! Students will learn about different owl species, their amazing adaptations, and what makes them such unique birds. Get up close with Raptor Hallow’s owl ambassadors while connecting wildlife education to Ohio Learning Standards. An optional guided worksheet is available to support learning.

🐾 October 29th Mammals & Reptiles

From furry mammals to scaly reptiles, discover the traits that make these animals different! Students will explore their unique characteristics, habitats, and ways of life while meeting Raptor Hallow’s animal ambassadors up close. This educational experience follows Ohio Learning Standards, with an optional guided worksheet for students to complete.

Minco had a pretty special Friday night. 🇺🇸

Before the West Branch Warriors took on the Canfield Cardinals, West Branch honored our veterans, and Minco got to be part of the evening.

He spent some time before the game greeting fans and posing for plenty of pictures, but when it was time for the National Anthem, he was locked in. Watching a bald eagle fly through the end zone during the anthem is one of those moments you will never forget.

Thank you to West Branch for inviting Minco and Raptor Hallow to be part of such a special night! 💚🏈🖤🦅

We’re excited to be part of Touch-a-Truck tomorrow at Butler Rodman Park!

Stop by the Raptor Hallow table between 10 AM and noon. We’ll be handing out 150 FREE admission vouchers for kids 12 and under to come visit the sanctuary this Saturday or Sunday!

Our animal ambassadors are once again asking for meat donations as people are clearing out their freezers or have some older meat to spare! We have a wide range of ambassadors and are open to variety. Even if it is a bit freezer burnt we are okay with that too! We do just ask that there is NO seasoning in the meat.

We are looking for:
🥩Red meat - beef, rabbit, etc - whole or ground
🍗Chicken - whole or pieces
🐟Fish - whole or filets
🦌Venison - bow hunted only please

Thank you in advance! We are open Friday through Saturday (so come visit us too) but we have someone there every day so just call us to schedule a drop off so we can meet you! 330-600-8972. Feel free to message us with any questions!
