We had a wonderful visit this week from Ariella, staff writer for Nebraska Life, as she explored the history and stories behind Dobby’s Frontier Town.

Lori guided Ariella through the town, making several stops along the way — including the Baled Hay House, where they took a closer look at the historic stove once used by the McDonald family in the original main house.

And of course, we even had a surprise visitor stop by the Livery Stable 😂

The dreaded call.... The tree grove by Dobby's is on fire... Quick trip out and praise God it was the dirt mound North of us! The tree branches blew into the power lines and sparked a fire... Don't know who called it in but we are so grateful to the caller...the Fire department, Sheriff's Department, Police Department and the City of Alliance for their quick response! Thanks also to our volunteers who showed up... Craig Barthel helped fight the fire also there were Bruce Faber, Tony Faber, Kacy Lehl and the photographer (me) also to Jeane Warfield for calling me after hearing it on the scanner! I LOVE THIS COMMUNITY!!!!
