Scholarship Spotlight: Ryleigh Mashburn is pursuing her passion for the arts by attending Salem State University in Massachusetts this fall, where she will begin studying Theater while working toward admission into the Acting and Musical Theater BFA program. Ryleigh has embraced every opportunity to develop her artistic talents through theater, art workshops, internships, and community involvement. Her internship at the Carnegie Arts Center - Alliance, Nebraska provided valuable experience in both the creative and operational aspects of the arts. With determination, creativity, and a strong commitment to her future, Ryleigh is dedicated to expanding her skills and building a successful career in theater and the performing arts. Scholarship Spotlight: Rozlyn Wills has a deep-rooted passion for agriculture and the cattle industry, inspired by her family’s farm and ranch operation and strengthened through her involvement in 4-H and FFA. Next fall, she plans to study Animal Science at Casper College before eventually continuing her education at a university focused on animal nutrition, genetics, and reproduction. A dedicated leader and competitor, Rozlyn helped lead Nebraska State FFA championship teams in livestock judging and meats judging, earning opportunities to represent Nebraska at the National FFA Convention. Her strong work ethic, commitment to learning, and desire to return to rural Nebraska to support the beef industry make her an outstanding scholarship recipient. Roz, we're as committed to you as you are to Western Nebraska agriculture!

Scholarship Spotlight: Taryn Erickson plans to attend the University of Oklahoma next fall, where she will pursue a degree in Prenatal Sonography. Driven by a passion for healthcare and helping others, she hopes to support expectant mothers and contribute to the health and well-being of both mothers and babies through compassionate care and accurate imaging. Taryn’s leadership, reliability, and strong work ethic have made her a positive role model both in and out of the classroom. We found her dedication to service and commitment to achieving her goals make her a deserving scholarship recipient. Great job, Taryn! As a sophomore in college next fall, Sutten is pursuing a degree in Agricultural Communications at Oklahoma Panhandle State University, with a goal of sharing the story of agriculture and strengthening connections between producers and consumers. Through involvement in rodeo, FFA, Women in Ag, Oklahoma CattleWomen, and Block and Bridle, Sutten has developed strong leadership skills, a dedicated work ethic, and a deep appreciation for the agricultural community. These experiences continue to inspire a commitment to representing agriculture with integrity and purpose. We are so impressed with your love for your agricultural roots, Sutten. Scholarship Spotlight: Taylee Thompson has a genuine passion for children and education. While attending Alliance High School, she gained valuable classroom experience working as a paraeducator at Emerson Elementary. She is currently pursuing a degree in Elementary Education and will be a junior at Chadron State College this fall. This summer, Taylee is serving as a camp leader at the Alliance Recreation Center, and she is excited to begin substitute teaching for Alliance Public Schools during the upcoming school year—all while continuing her studies as a full-time college student. Taylee’s commitment to education, strong work ethic, and enthusiasm for helping children learn make her a deserving recipient of one of our scholarships honoring future educators. Congratulations, Taylee! We are proud to support your journey and look forward to seeing the positive impact you will make as a teacher in Alliance Public Schools someday.

Scholarship Spotlight: Isaac Murphy was highly involved in FFA and has a high respect for the agricultural industry. This is what led him to enroll at UNL this coming fall, where he will major in Agribusiness with an option in Agricultural Banking & Finance. His long-term goal is to return to Alliance as an Agricultural Loan Officer, where he may provide ranchers, homesteaders, and agricultural businesses alike with sound financial advice. It sounds like we will someday welcome another one of our best AHS alums back to our community. We're proud of you, Isaac, and wish you the best!

Beyond the classroom, Mandie has applied her skills through the restoration of a 1974 Chevy C20. Mandie, we are so proud of your dedication, strong work ethic, and passion for the automotive and diesel industry!
