Anchor House

The current goals of the Anchor House are to feed, and clothe the homeless and through collaboration, offer them the other resources they need to BOUNCE BACK from life's setbacks. We are currently in the research stage of acquiring a local facility here in Alliance, Ohio that could accommodate over 100 beds.

The Founder/CEO; Budd Kuyper; has personally been on the streets more than once in his life. He has battled with alcohol and drug use in his younger years and now through God's blessings is giving back. He has formed this nonprofit organization focusing on transitioning people back into homes and gainful employment. We partner with local organizations to get people in need the resources they need such as mental health, low income housing, food and clothes. As a nonprofit, We are just over 3 years old and we are working on growing. We participate in or host an outreach 11 months out of the year. There is our "Lunches of Love Outreach" (LOLO) where we hand out 250sack lunches to individuals in need, Our "Easter Giveaway" where we assemble 300 Easter baskets and give them to the homeless and under privileged children, Our "Fathers Day Giveaway" where we assemble 300 personal hygiene kits and roll them up inside a T-shirt to be given to the homeless. Our Fall giveaway which is the Same as Our Fathers Day, except instead of T-shirts we use sweatshirts and/or hoodies, and Our Christmas Eve event, which has grown so large it needed it's own web page.
