Cheers to 5 years of community impact! 🎉

On Monday night, we hosted a dinner at Aeonian Brewery to celebrate 5 years of Alliance Give 365. Over the last 5 years, we have raised $148,000 for the Alliance community.

We had a packed house, for which we are extremely grateful! Our wonderful donors got to hear from several of the nonprofits that have received grants from Give 365, including Rex Morey of Challenge Ministries, Emily Trevino of Alliance Pregnancy Center, and David Daniels of Michael’s World.

For a dollar a day, your gift helps provide funding to nonprofits doing incredible work in our community and making an immediate impact. Not only that, but your gift will continue to provide for generations to come through our endowment. Please consider joining our mission today! ♥️

The Town and Country Gardeners Club of Alliance recently hosted their annual auction at First Friends Church and surprised Josh Kuszmaul and Will Skok of Raptor Hollow Sanctuary as well as Heidi McClung of Chad's Way with a $5,000 grant award from the Garden Club of Ohio.

The garden club recently received this grant on behalf of Raptor Hallow Sanctuary to embellish the accessible trail at the sanctuary. A teachable landscape corridor will be created featuring native honeysuckle plants on wooden archways. At the end of the path will be a riparian-inspired teaching garden using natural stone and native stream-edge plants.

All the recipients were very surprised and blessed to learn that the project will be completed this summer by the team at RHS thanks to the generosity and support of the Garden Club of Ohio.

Lori Wemhoff, the Executive Director of the Alliance YWCA, received 32 volunteer appreciation bags made by Greater Alliance Foundation to show appreciation for their enormous impact on our community. This past year, the YWCA served 19,656 meals to 67 different homes. The YWCA has now been serving our community for 100 years — a huge milestone! Thank you for all that you do!

Today, we honor the courage, sacrifice, and service of our nation’s fallen heroes.

We are especially grateful for those from our community who have paid the ultimate price. Their legacies carry on in many ways in our community, from Hometown Heroes banners to the beautiful monuments in Memorial Park.

We’re proud to support a project that turns creativity into compassion.

Through a recent grant award, Sew4Service - Alliance, OH Chapter will now host Open Studio and Charity Sewing Events that will provide free, welcoming spaces where community members can gather, learn new skills, and create handmade items that directly support neighbors in need.

Participants of all experience levels, from beginners to seasoned sewists, will have access to shared equipment, materials, and guidance in an inclusive environment designed to remove financial and social barriers to participation.

What makes this project special?
- Free access to sewing tools and creative space
- Skill-sharing and mentorship opportunities
- Reduced isolation through social connection
- Handmade quilts, tote bags, baby items, and more created for local charities

By investing in accessible creative opportunities, this project promotes self-sufficiency and a more compassionate community where everyone has the chance to contribute.

Congratulations to Ciara Evans, graduate of West Branch Local School District for being awarded this year’s Athena Scholarship by the Athena Scholarship Committee.

We are happy to hold this scholarship fund to provide support to young ladies like Ciara and what she stands for.

We would also like to thank Sue Grove for her dedication to Athena and Lori Beadnell Jewell for her incredible work she does with GAF’s Scholarships.
