Liz and I are looking back on 2025 and are so thankful for the help of our donors to the 53 Accessible Alliance Charitable Fund at Greater Alliance Foundation that we got to establish another accessible trail this year at Raptor Hallow Sanctuary. It made a huge difference for this nonprofit and our community to be able to get around to enjoy nature and the wildlife.

Chad would have loved this second trail. Prior to the placement of the trail by Durley Excavating, it was an extremely wet and underdeveloped trail.

I have to ask Alliance Talks (Alliance and Surrounding areas), where do we go from here? Chad loved the woods so do you know of a spot that could get the community out in nature that needs to become more accessible?

I got a great deal on 17 different colors of coneflowers for Chad’s new trail today. These flowers attract many pollinators. I can’t wait to plant them with Shirley Kandel!

I just can’t thank these people enough for the 3 hour blitz of hard work in that awful heat and humidity on Sunday! Liz and I were very blessed! We hauled brush out of the woods and planted many plants and mulched them in. We are so happy to help Raptor Hallow Sanctuary in this way and celebrate another accessible trail in Alliance. These volunteers have awesome hearts and incredible helping hands!

I still need volunteers to join me at Raptor Hallow Santuary tomorrow (Sunday/Funday) from 8:00-11:30 at Butler Rodman Park! We will be planting, staining wood, and moving brush piles. I’m also ISO a guy with a chainsaw to help cut up trees that are already dropped. Thanks everybody!! Raptor Hallow Sanctuary

Friends and Family - I need your help with a service project next Sunday from 8:00-11:30. We are going to go to Raptor Hallow Santuary at Butler Rodman Park in Alliance and help them get ready for their opening. Bring work gloves, wheel barrows, shovels and rakes as we will be getting dirty bringing beauty to Chad’s newest trail!

Lots of plants need to go in the ground.

Also if you can build things, bring your charged cordless tools.

If you like chains saws, bring them too! There is lots of work to do there.

Let me know you are coming in the comments below so I can have enough water and granola bars ready for you.

What a precious moment the other day when I took Chad’s mom to see the new accessible trail in Alliance.

We pulled into Raptor Hallow Sanctuary and got out of the car and saw this beautiful rainbow…..What a moment that was for us!

I have never seen a complete rainbow like this before. This was so cool and it felt like such an honor to experience.

It was like Chad McClung was standing next to me❤️
