💚 Match of the Year: Big Sally & Little Briza 💚

One of the most moving moments from Big Stories 2026 was celebrating Sally and Briza—a match that perfectly captures the power of mentorship.

For seven years, Sally has been a steady, creative, and encouraging presence in Briza’s life. Through their shared love of art and unwavering support, Briza found her voice, built confidence, and embraced who she is.

Today, that growth is undeniable. Briza was accepted to 15 colleges and will attend Kutztown University this fall to study Animated Arts and Communication Design.
Their story is a reminder that mentorship is more than guidance—it’s trust, consistency, and belief in one another.

We’re celebrating a big milestone for Tyrone, our Director of Community Engagement, who just marked 5 years with BBBSLV!

Tyrone builds meaningful partnerships throughout our community, helping recruit amazing volunteers to become Bigs and supporting the growth of our mentoring programs. He also leads our ABC (Access, Belonging & Community) Committee, helping ensure everyone feels welcomed and valued.

Known for his personality and passion, Tyrone is a true champion of our mission—and we’re lucky to have him! 💚
