Animal Food Bank of the Lehigh Valley

Animal Food Bank of the Lehigh Valley Keeping pets in loving homes and preventing their surrender to the shelter system by supplying families with pet food in times of economic distress.

The Animal Food Bank of the Lehigh Valley is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, registered as โ€œAnimal Food Bank Services, Inc.โ€

The Animal Food Bank keeps companion animals in loving homes and prevents their surrender to the shelter system by supplying families with pet food in times of economic distress. We are currently feeding thousands of pets every month. In addition we encourage responsib

le pet ownership by requiring spay/neuter, vaccines, and licenses for the pets we assist. We will work with individuals with their commitment to get the needed requirements. We do not support breeders or breeding of any animals.

Please note that due to circumstances beyond our control, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this month's distribution.
As always, the well-being of your pets remains our top priority. If you are experiencing a hardship and cannot wait until our July distribution, please email us at [email protected] or send us a Facebook message, and we will do our best to assist.
We appreciate your patience, understanding, and cooperation during this challenging time for our organization. Our volunteers are working tirelessly to continue serving our community while navigating hardships of our own.

๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿป Please note there is no distribution on the 13th but can catch the volunteers on the 20th.

A huge thank you to Western Lehigh Chamber of Commerce, Lehigh Valley Chamber and everyone involved in making Paws at the Park such a fun filled and successful day!
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who came out to support the Animal Food Bank of the Lehigh Valley. Whether you stopped by our table, participated in the raffle, or made a donation, your support helps us continue providing food assistance to pets and families throughout our community.
It was wonderful spending the day with so many animal lovers, sharing our mission, and raising much-needed funds for the animals who depend on us.
Thank you for making today such a successโ€”we couldn't do it without you!

From our friends at Pocono Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center.

๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’”We are begging our communityโ€ฆ PLEASE LEAVE FAWNS ALONE.๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’”
Every single day we are getting messages and emails from people who have already picked up a fawn and then ask how to care for it๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜–๐Ÿ˜ก
This is NOT okay!!! This is NOT legal!!! And this is NOT helping!!!!
If you see a fawn alone for a few hours, that does NOT mean itโ€™s abandoned!!!
Mother deer intentionally leave their babies hidden while they go off to feed. She WILL come back!!!!!!!!!!
When you take that baby you are ILLEGALLY removing wildlife from the wild!!!!
You are causing extreme stress to the fawn!!!!๐Ÿ’”
You are separating it from a mother who is actively caring for it๐Ÿ’”
Now instead of a healthy baby waiting safely for mom YOU'VE created an orphan that did not need to be one!!!!
Please understand this clearly
Do NOT touch, move, or โ€œrescueโ€ a fawn without speaking to a licensed wildlife professional FIRST!!!!
If youโ€™re reaching out to US , WAIT for a response before doing anything!!!!
We cannot undo the damage once that baby is taken๐Ÿ’”.
This is getting completely out of control, and it is costing fawns their lives.๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’”
We are literally begging you LEAVE THE FAWNS WHERE THEY ARE!!!!!!๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ
Mom is nearby. Let HER do HER job!!!

Our volunteers have been extremely busy these last couple of days moving much needed items back to Emmaus so we can continue serving the community and helping pets in need. It was no easy task, especially after just moving everything โ€” but their dedication and commitment never wavered.
We are so grateful for every helping hand and every act of kindness that keeps this mission going. โค๏ธ๐Ÿพ
Catch us today from 10โ€“2 back in Emmaus!

โญ๏ธImportant Newsโญ๏ธ

๐ŸšงOur new home is about to undergo construction, and unfortunately our end of the building will be temporarily shut down. At this time, we do not have a timeline for reopening in Allentown.

๐ŸฉทThat said, our incredible volunteers have found a way to continue serving our community. We will be operating ONE distribution day per month at our temporary location.

โ˜บ๏ธOur team worked so hard to create a beautiful new space and were just beginning to settle in so you can imagine the disappointment. Despite this, their commitment to helping pets in need has not wavered.

๐Ÿ“ Temporary Location: 860 Broad St., Emmaus (former home)
๐Ÿ—“๏ธ Next Distribution: Saturday, May 16th
โฐ Time: 10 AM โ€“ 2 PM

๐ŸŒŸ Please make note of this date, as it will be the only distribution for the month.

๐ŸฅฐWe truly appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued support during this time. Together, we will get through this and continue making a difference for the pets and families who rely on us.
