On September 11, 2001, our nation changed forever.
A generation of first responders ran toward danger. Service members answered a new call to duty. Families and communities faced unimaginable loss. And the lives of countless Americans, including members of our own DeSales community, were forever changed.
On the 25th anniversary of September 11, DeSales University Veterans and Military Services invites you to come together to remember, honor, and reflect.

Free and open to the public.
This special commemoration will feature a distinguished panel sharing firsthand experiences and personal reflections on September 11 and its enduring impact.
Among our panelists are former NYPD Inspector Dr. Ken Quick; former FBI Supervisory Special Agent Jeffrey Tomlinson; Navy veteran and DeSales student Justin Smith; Homeland Security student and club president Sophia Amoretti; and Army veteran and Pennsylvania Army National Guard member SFC Christopher DiBella.
We will also honor the memory of Dan Gallagher ’00, a DeSales Business major who tragically lost his life while working at Cantor Fitzgerald in the World Trade Center.
Their stories remind us that history is not simply something we read about. It is carried by the people who lived it, served through it, and continue to remember it.
Twenty-five years later, it is our responsibility to listen to those stories,and to ensure they are never forgotten.
