In remembrance of those who were lost on October 7, students at Muhlenberg College came together for a meaningful chesed event in partnership with Muhlenberg College Hillel, StandWithUs, and Israel on Campus Coalition

Participants assembled bags filled with essential items, turning remembrance into an act of kindness and compassion. The completed bags were generously donated to JFS to support individuals and families in our community.

We are grateful to everyone who participated and chose to honor the lives lost through chesed: acts of loving-kindness. May their memories be a blessing.

A special shoutout to BBYO Liberty Region BBG #1188 for supporting JFS!

During their Kickoff Event in the Sukkah at the JCC of the Lehigh Valley, the group collected personal hygiene products for the JFS Community Food Pantry.

For more than seven years, Ana Deledda has brought her time, heart and helping hands to JFS as a volunteer with the Community Food Pantry and Mazel Meals.

What started as a way to get involved in the community quickly became something much more. From using her bilingual Spanish skills to welcome clients to building meaningful relationships along the way, Ana describes her experience in one word: rewarding.

“I have a bigger heart because I helped,” Ana shared. “Volunteering here makes me feel proud.”

JFS Gives Back!

JFS staff and volunteers spent Monday morning at Monocacy Farm Project getting their hands dirty and giving back! We learned more about the farm while helping remove beans from their pods and separate crowded seedlings. 🌱🫘

A little rain couldn’t dampen our spirits! A huge thank you to Eli for making the morning fun, engaging and hands-on. We’re grateful for the opportunity to learn, lend a hand and connect with our partner while doing meaningful work in our community.
