Here is our second batch of coach photos from Eastern Fall Sectionals at DeSales University (we posted our first set last night).

Congratulations to our athletes for a spectacular day of competition, sportsmanship, friends, and family - you were all outstanding, and we are very, very proud!

Our deepest thanks to our amazing and generous coaches. Their dedication, hard work, and support is the reason our athletes can have experiences like this.

We love our Team!!!

Our Fall sports teams spent the day at DeSales University competing alongside hundreds of fellow athletes at Special Olympics Pennsylvania’s Eastern Fall Sectionals. We had athletes there representing Flag Football, Volleyball, Soccer Skills, and Powerlifting.

It was a long and exciting day - we’re so incredibly proud of our entire Team Bethlehem crew!

Here is our 1st batch of photos from the day courtesy of our coaches. Enjoy!!

What a great night for a few of our Golfers! The Golf Association of Philadelphia hosted an All Abilities Adaptive clinic this evening at the Lehigh Country Club, and 4 of our golfers attended along with our head Coach.

PGA professional, Greg Chalmers, was on hand during the clinic to provide instruction and guidance, which was a terrific learning opportunity for our crew. When the clinic was over, our athletes unexpectedly scored an invite to the after party, where they were joined by Philadelphia Eagles legend, Brandon Graham!! BG was fantastic to our group and spent a ton of time talking with the athletes - what a treat for all!

So happy for our group who attended!

Yesterday, a few members of our Golf Team were able to spend the day putting their golfing skills to good use for causes near and dear to them.

Our athlete, Eric, and Coach Elvin participated in a golf outing benefiting the fabulous work of The Arc of Lehigh and Northampton Counties. They were joined by a duo representing our friends at Team Northampton Special Olympics - PA, and had an absolutely fantastic time.

Meanwhile, our athletes Samantha and Sarah were each guested spots in separate foursomes at a charity golf tournament benefiting the incredible work of the Eastern PA Down Syndrome Center. Highlights included Samantha sinking a 42 foot putt (outstanding!!!), and Sarah’s foursome coming in 3rd place at the event!

It fills our hearts to witness the connections between our programming here at Special Olympics, and the work of other wonderful organizations who support individuals with intellectual disabilities in our area. So grateful to have amazing community partners in our athletes’ corners. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Earlier this week, our friends from Team Lehigh - Special Olympics PA hosted our Flag Footballers for a scrimmage with their athletes.

It was a fantastic way to help both teams prepare for upcoming Sectionals, and everyone had a great time. Kudos to the coaches and volunteers from both programs - thank you for all you do to support our athletes!!
