Agricultural Education prepares students for successful careers and a lifetime of informed choices in the global agriculture, food, fiber and natural resources systems. Through agricultural education, students are provided opportunities for leadership development, personal growth and career success. Agricultural education instruction is delivered through three major components:

1) class

room/laboratory instruction (contextual learning)

2) supervised agricultural experience programs (work-based learning)

3) student leadership organizations (National FFA Organization, National

Young Farmer Educational Association, and National Postsecondary Agricultural Student Organization). Agricultural education is a systematic program of instruction available to students desiring to learn about the science, business, technology of plant and animal production and/or about the environmental and natural resources systems. Agricultural education first became a part of the public education system in 1917 when the U.S. Today, over 800,000 students participate in formal agricultural education instructional programs offered in grades seven-adult throughout the 50 states and three U.

The stand is stocked with beautiful, fresh New Jersey-grown corn, tomatoes, peaches, blueberries, and more. Every purchase supports the three Monmouth County FFA chapters: Allentown FFA, Freehold Township FFA, and Monmouth County Vocational FFA Chapter.

Temple Grandin will be presenting at the Mercer County Board of Agriculture and RCE of Mercer County ANR are hosting Temple Grandin on Wednesday evening, July 15!

This event is free for active 4-H & FFA members - see info below and make sure all 4-H & FFA members register at the link below.

This Qualtrics survey registration form is for active 4-H and FFA youth. Adults accompanying the 4-H and FFA youth will need to register and pay for entry using the information on the event flyer.

In order to have access to this event without charge, 4-H and FFA youth must pre-register for the event using this Qualtrics survey form. You will need to provide your name and email address to receive a confirmation notice. If you are a 4-H member you will need to provide the county extension office you are affiliated with and your club name. If you are a FFA member you need to provide the name of your FFA chapter.
