"Learning to Do, Doing to Learn, Earning to Live, Living to Serve" Congress passed the Smith-Hughes Act. S. territories.

Agricultural Education prepares students for successful careers and a lifetime of informed choices in the global agriculture, food, fiber and natural resources systems. Through agricultural education, students are provided opportunities for leadership development, personal growth and career success. Agricultural education instruction is delivered through three major components:

1) class

room/laboratory instruction (contextual learning)

2) supervised agricultural experience programs (work-based learning)

3) student leadership organizations (National FFA Organization, National

Young Farmer Educational Association, and National Postsecondary Agricultural Student Organization). Agricultural education is a systematic program of instruction available to students desiring to learn about the science, business, technology of plant and animal production and/or about the environmental and natural resources systems. Agricultural education first became a part of the public education system in 1917 when the U.S. Today, over 800,000 students participate in formal agricultural education instructional programs offered in grades seven-adult throughout the 50 states and three U.

Join us today at Texas Roadhouse of Hamilton for a dine to donate event! 10% of sales will help support our FFA Chapter's travel to the National FFA Convention this fall!

Need a break from cooking after Memorial Day weekend? Help support the Allentown HS FFA at Texas Roadhouse in Hamilton! Bring the attached flyer on Tuesday, May 26 from 4-10PM. 10% of your bill will be donated back to our chapter to assist with travel to the National FFA Convention this fall.

The Allentown FFA Chapter is collecting donations for the Burlington County Animal Shelter, as part of the New Jersey FFA Association Community Service Project. At the convention, members will be constructing feral cat shelters, snuffle balls and mats, scent work tubes, cat scratching boards, and pet stairs.

Our chapter is also collecting items for the shelter. Items include:
-Peanut Butter (NO Xylitol)
-Spray Cheese
-Milk Bones
-Pumpkin Puree (no spices)
-Dog & Cat Treats
-Unopened Dog & Cat Food
-Kitten Milk Replacement
-Small Animal & ReptileFood
-Wild Bird Seed
-Food Bowls
-Dog Collars & Leashes
-Cat Litter (non-clumping)
-Dog & Cat Toys
-Cleaning Supplies (Clorox wipes, bleach, DAWN, sponges, paper towels, liquid laundry detergent, trash bags, gallon ZipLock bags)
-We**ee Pads
-Dog Crates
-Bath Towels
-Small Animal & Reptile Supplies (toys, heat sources, enclosures)

Collection bins will be placed in all schools and the Ag Building. If you have any donations, please feel free to drop them in the bin or bring them to the Ag Building. All donations will need to be dropped off by 5/19.
