Celebrating ministry, caring for one another, and finding hope in times of transition. A few highlights from Bishop Dee’s recent congregational visits:
On September 27, Bishop Dee worshiped with the A-Town Bundle at Redeemer, Allentown, celebrating Redeemer’s 100 years of ministry and remembering that, as baptized members of the body of Christ, we are all one. She also had the honor of meeting the Rev. Dr. Patricia Medley, the first woman ordained in the Northeastern Pennsylvania Synod (LCA). Holy and historic moments!
On October 4, a stop at Trinity Lutheran Church, Robesonia, Pennsylvania included a flu shot and the gift of hearing two young people offer music on piano and saxophone. What a blessing to have congregations that nurture us and care for our health.
At Friedens Church Shartlesville, Bishop Dee shared a reminder that God is with us always, especially in times of transition. As the congregation prepares to say goodbye to Pastor Inge and enter a season of discernment, they do so knowing they are not alone. God prepares a way, Christ accompanies them, and the Spirit surrounds them with comfort and hope.
