COMMITTEE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED -
Parents of Band, Orchestra and Chorus are asked to sign up for a PHS Music Boosters Standing Committee - The Music Boosters provide volunteers and financial support for BAND, ORCHESTRA and CHORUS.

COMMITTEE DESCRIPTIONS -
Concession Stand Committee - Organize and oversee management of the PHS Music Boosters Concession Stand at the Football Stadium, during the Fall Football season. Assistance with learning how the Concession stand is set up and run, will be given to the committee by previous Board
Middle School Band Night Committee - Organize middle school band night with middle school directors to feed the bands before game and at half time behind concession stand
Marching Band Senior Night Committee - Organize recognition of Marching Band Seniors during the football game, organize the evening with flowers and pictures with parents
PMEA Chorus Auditions Committee - Organize Concession stand in A wing and obtain volunteers to work shifts during October Chorus District audition evening. Students are able to purchase snacks and drinks during audition.
PMEA Chorus Hospitality Committee - Organize lunch for Directors at PMEA Chorus Auditions with direction from PHS Director.
PMEA Band/Orchestra Auditions Committee - Organize and run concession stand in A wing and obtain volunteers to work shifts during December District Auditions Day. Students are able to purchase snacks, lunch drinks at the stand throughout the day.
PMEA Hospitality /Band/Orchestra Committee - Organize lunch for Directors at PMEA auditions with direction from PHS directors.
Feed the Band Committee - Help with organizing and providing set up for Feeding the band after Half time show. Set up prior to half time.
Parent Preview Night - Marching Band /August - Organize parent preview night at the PHS Music Boosters Concession stand in the Football stadium to offer light snacks/drinks during Band's fall preview (usually held one evening during end of band camp weeks)
Spirit Wear /Band and Orchestra - Organize, provide samples at Band Parent Meeting, run Spirit wear sale in August and September for Band and Orchestra Parents and Students to purchase apparel. This has been previously established, largest part of the position is putting the orders together and distribution of orders.
Clothing Drive Committee - Set up clothing drive date prior to and assist with setting up contacts with company and organize volunteer needs and clear date with District. Arrange advertising, and signage for event.
Indoor Percussion representative - Participate as a liaison to Boosters and Indoor percussion group
Color Guard representative - Participate as a liasion to Booster board and colorguard group
Indoor Percussion/Colorguard- Shows Committee - Assist Directors with running of Indoor Shows- TIA/MAPS/TOB as decided upon Directors
Hydration Committee /Marching Band - Organizing donations of bottles of water to be given to the Marching Band at home and away games and volunteers needed for distribution
Semi Formal Committee - Organize event, secure date and facility for annual Semi formal Banquet. Obtain volunteers to assist with decorations, invitations and table sign ups. This event takes place the Sunday before ML King Day
Equipment Crew/Marching Band Committee - Organize Equipment loading/unloading at Home and Away Football games.
PHS Music Booster Scholarship Committee - Organize with Board Essay prompt, provide to Directors to apply. Contact teacher group (ie. English) to review and score. Provide winners names to Directors for presentation at Visual and performing arts awards
Festival of the Arts (FOTA) Committee - Organize the PHS Music Boosters FOTA tent, selling food/beverages as decided by the Executive Board, secure volunteers for event, purchase supplies, set up and clean up at event.
Music Boosters Membership Committee - Assist Membership Board Representative with set up and maintaining a membership sign-up table and provide membership forms during the PHS Band Uniform fittings in August/September. Assist with maintaining an up to date Members list. Assist with setting goals to increase membership. Promote attendance at the General Public Meetings.
Parkland High School Music Boosters supports many events through out the school year. Committees assist the PHS Executive Board and PHS Booster group with being leaders of these events. All volunteers must have Clearances with the School District
