100 years ago today, the cornerstone of the Allentown Masonic Temple was laid.

From the 16 July 1923 edition of The Morning Call:

The cornerstone contents are: A Holy Bible, a copy of Ahiman Rezon, a copy of the proceedings, a scroll bearing the names of officers and members, architect, and contractor, coins of 5 Blue Lodges, US coins from 1923, a copy of the invitation, a copy of the groundbreaking and cornerstone laying program, lodge notices, aprons of the 5 lodges, and a specimen of members cards from 5 lodges.

Seating for 2000 was provided.
