🇯🇵❤️ Jaycee & Jayden are in JAPAN. ❤️🇯🇵
I’ve started writing this post a few times because I honestly don’t know how to explain what this does to my heart.
My sister Sarah and brother-in-law Harrison are in Japan right now, and they took my girls with them. Not physically, of course… but in the way that means everything to a mom who would give anything to have her babies here.
They carried Jaycee and Jayden with them. ❤️
While having an omakase dinner in Tokyo, one of their waiters and his assistant went above and beyond to make their night special. Through conversations during dinner, they learned that he had recently gotten married and would love to have children, but had some doubts because of their age.
Before they left, Sarah and Harrison gave him a tip — even though tipping isn’t customary in Japan — along with a Jaycee and Jayden card and asked him to continue spreading kindness in their names.
And he was honored. He was excited to do it.
Halfway across the world, someone who never knew my daughters now knows their names. ❤️
I just keep thinking about that.
For the last three years, Sarah and Harrison — along with so many people we love — have continued to make sure Jaycee and Jayden are remembered. They say their names. They carry their cards. They look for opportunities to do something kind because of them.
There is no way I could ever explain what that means to me as their mom.
When you lose your children, one of the greatest gifts anyone can give you is to remember them without having to be reminded.
To think of them.
To say their names.
To carry them with you.
To help make sure their little lives continue to mean something in this world.
Sarah and Harrison, thank you for taking my babies to Japan. 😭❤️. Thank you for thinking of them in a moment when I wasn’t there to remind you. Thank you for loving them. Thank you for helping their story travel farther than I ever could have imagined.
I would give anything to be watching my girls grow up right now. I would give anything to know who they would be today.
But knowing that, 13 years after they came into this world, their names are being spoken in Tokyo… and that a complete stranger is now going to carry a little piece of their kindness forward…
That absolutely breaks my heart and fills it at the exact same time.
Jaycee Lynn & Jayden Lee made it to Japan. 🇯🇵❤️
My babies are still traveling this world.
Still spreading love.
Still spreading joy.
Still spreading kindness.
And still so incredibly loved.
Forever. 💜🩷
Jaycee Lynn & Jayden Lee — continuing to bring a little more love, joy and kindness into this world. 💜🩷
