As our Summer 2026 program winds down today, we would like to give a special shout out to our directors, Jenn Ledermann and Joe Kiely. Every year they run a wondertful program, overseeing staff and counselors and ensuring that all our ALEOOOPers have a fun and safe time. This years curveballs included a surprise building closure and a variety of weather events!! They are the heart and soul of the program. Also, a quick reminder, please consider tipping the counselors that have worked very hard taking care of the kids this summer. Information was provided in the newsletter emailed out Thursday night.

We are experiencing serious rain and flooding in Allendale today. All students are safe at Brookside.
However, the underpasses are closed as are several streets. Please anticipate a slow pick up process today.
If you see a break in the rain and would like to pick up your children early at any time today, please call or text the ALEOOOP number at 201-961-3012 and they can bring your children out to you at any time day before the scheduled pick up.
We please ask that everyone has a great deal of patience today, pick up at 2pm will take much longer than usual.

With regards to current air quality conditions, we are monitoring the air quality and will modify activities to keep the kids and staff safe. We will send a message if anything changes and will notify counselors if anything changes during the day.
