Remembrance Ranch

Remembrance Ranch Remembrance Ranch is a Christian Wilderness Treatment organization committed to helping at risk teens

Remembrance Ranch is a 12 month, therapy-based program that exists to transform the lives of struggling teenagers and their families. Our program is designed for families with teenagers ranging from 11 to 14 years old. Early intervention prevents the onset of further delinquent behavior and supports the development of a teens assets and resilience. While many past approaches focus on remediating v

isible and/or longlasting disruptive behavior, research has shown that prevention and early intervention are more effective. Teenage youth come to our treatment program for many different reasons and from a variety of backgrounds.

On Wednesday, the boys went on a trail ride where they were able to put all the skills they learned through their horse lessons into practice while taking in the beauty of God’s creation around them.

Saying goodbye to their horses was not easy. For many of the boys, these horses became more than just an activity, they became a relationship built on trust, patience, and confidence. There were some emotional goodbyes as the boys reflected on how far they had come.

The boys also continued to push past fear by taking on the zipline. They encouraged each other, celebrated each other’s courage, and learned that they can do hard things.

As the day continued, Weekend Warriors arrived and the boys had the opportunity to build new relationships with mentors and men of God who will continue to encourage and support them. Yesterday, they headed out on the trail together!

During morning devotionals yesterday, the boys learned that God’s greatest creation is people and that they are deeply loved by Him.

Through a mask activity, they had the opportunity to talk about the difference between how we present ourselves on the outside and what we may be carrying on the inside. Moments like this open the door for honest conversations about the masks we sometimes wear and the importance of knowing we are fully loved and seen by God!

Even with some weather changes, the day was filled with fun through games, a pickleball tournament, and time together. The boys also practiced focus and discipline through rifle shooting before ending the day with a meal together.

Another day of growth, courage, friendship, and discovering who God created them to be. 🙏

Yesterday, we started in morning devotions reflecting on God as the Creator of everything, then spent time sharing our favorite parts of His creation and practicing gratitude for the world around us.

From there, the boys stepped into hands-on learning with the horses, building responsibility, teamwork, and trust through every interaction 🐎

We challenged their thinking with an entrepreneurship survival activity where they worked together to problem solve, think creatively, and build a plan under pressure ⚙

There was time to simply enjoy being kids too, with aqua park fun bringing plenty of laughs, followed by archery and tomahawk throwing that tested focus and patience 💦

We ended the day grounded in a powerful testimony from Patrick that reminded us what growth, resilience, and transformation can look like in real life.
