The African Heritage Month Celebration.This significant cultural event is in its 7th year and operating under the aegis of the African Immigrants Commission of New York and Connecticut, Inc and in partnership with Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Cancer Center. This annual-free festival celebrates the contributions of African community leaders and promotes the rich arts and culture of African immigrant communities across New York and Connecticut. It features traditional African music artists, speakers, and a variety of African cuisines, while emphasizing unity among people of all races, creeds, and ethnicities. The festival is a cornerstone effort of the Commission to preserve and promote the cultural and artistic heritage of Africa and its diaspora in the United States.
