🐾 What a paws-itively wonderful Kiwanis meeting today! 🐾
A huge thank you to Elyse Ramirez Lizarazo, founder of Story Paws, for sharing the incredible work her organization is doing throughout our community. Story Paws brings the healing power of therapy dogs to schools, hospitals, hospice patients, first responders, and individuals of all abilities—one wagging tail at a time. But let’s be honest… the real star of the show was sweet Raja! ❤️

From the moment she walked into the room, Raja was making friends, collecting pets, and reminding us all why dogs are such a powerful source of comfort, connection, and unconditional love. We may have learned a lot today, but getting to spend time with Raja was definitely the highlight of our week.

Thank you, Elyse and Raja, for visiting the Kiwanis Club of Allen and for all you do to bring joy, healing, and hope to so many in our community.

🏛️ What a wonderful morning at the Kiwanis Club of Allen!

Today, we were honored to welcome Mary (Foster) Admire from the City of Allen. As the Heritage and Cultural Arts Program Manager, Mary leads programs, partnerships, and events that celebrate the rich history, culture, and community spirit of Allen through the Allen Heritage Village and Allen Cemetery.

She shared fascinating insights into Allen’s past, along with an exciting vision for preserving and celebrating our community’s heritage for future generations. It was a great reminder that understanding where we’ve been helps guide where we’re going.
