The Code Talkers

Today, we honor the legacy of the Navajo Code Talkers, whose courage, resilience, and native language forever changed the course of history.

During World War II, the Marine Corps turned to a method of communication that Japanese intelligence could never crack: the Navajo language.

In 1942, a group of Navajo Marines developed an unbreakable oral code that allowed for fast and secure communication during battles throughout the Pacific Theater of Operations.

Because of the code's strategic value, their heroic contributions remained secret until 1968.

We generally open ticket sales to the Marine Corps Birthday on Independence Day. We have had multiple inquiries.

This year’s Ball Committee Chair was in a serious vehicle accident with family and had to step down, so we are a little behind schedule. Information and tickets will be available soon.

The Ball this year will be on Saturday, November 21st at the Hyatt Regency Frisco/Dallas at Stonebriar. 2615 Preston Road Frisco, TX 75034.

Happy 250th Birthday, America!

Today we celebrate 250 years of freedom, courage, and the enduring American spirit. From the sacrifices of our Founding Fathers to the generations of service members who answered the call to defend liberty, America remains a beacon of hope, opportunity, and resilience.

As we honor this historic milestone, let us never forget that freedom isn’t free. It has been earned through the dedication of brave men and women who stood ready to protect our nation and the values we hold dear.

May we continue to cherish our freedoms, unite as one nation, and leave a stronger America for future generations.
