The men and women of Allen Sunrise Rotary never cease to inspire.

Besides being an active Rotarian, Bruce Heller has supported Shelterbox since the Haiti earthquake in 2010. To continue his support, he and his family undertook a totally different fundraising effort for Shelterbox in mid February, climbing the highest peak in Africa, Mt. Kilimanjaro. Bruce and his family not only met their fundraising goal but far exceeded it! Congratulations and thank you for all you do for our club, our community, and people in need everywhere.

A big shout out to Allen Sunrise Rotarian Professor Jeff Willie.

On Saturday, 3/29, Jeff participated in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Big Climb Dallas, where he climbed the 72 story Bank of America Plaza to raise money and awareness for blood cancer patients & their families. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of the patients and their families. LLS exists to find cures and ensure access to treatments for blood cancer patients. Jeff did 25 pushups every 10th floor and 50 pushups when he reached the top. Jeff’s 77-year young brother was his climbing partner.

But that its not all. On Saturday, 4/12, Jeff participated in the Fight for Air Climb! Jeff climbed the 837 stair at Reunion Tower for the American Lung Association to ensure clean air for all and to create a world without lung disease. "The mission is to “Inspire until we Expire”. We are not dead; God is not finished with us. How are your actions inspiring your Sphere of Influence? "

You’re blessed when your life-highway intersects with those of lifelong friends.

Today, the Rotary Club of Allen Sunrise had the honor of hosting Bob Mendonsa, M.D. and his wife, Julie Harris Mendonsa, co-founders of Naomi's Village. Both shared how they answered God’s call that founded their ministry.

Newsweek also did a feature article last November about Bob: https://www.facebook.com/share/1BtmgL1QZC/?

Continued blessings, dear friends.🙏
