First, thank you to all those who have served and those who never came home!

The check out the start of our sexy white oak hose bed. It impressed me so much I took my boots off to not mark it up!

As always thank you Barry McNeal for all your help and for bringing your miter saw to the shop.

We also assembled the Casket Roller system to understand how to attach it to the hose-bed floor sub structure.

Tonight was a chicken strip night at the Streaker Shop. In an effort to get at least one night of work in during the busy spring season, we are bribing our volunteers with food.

Pictured is bribed Barry McNeal completing the holes to mount the unistrut framing. After the holes were drilled and unistrut bolted down, the Streaker team performed lay out for the steel to unistrut connections.

Thank you everyone for your support…

The Streaker shop hosted a Wingstop party tonight and got Barry McNeal and Shawn McNeal out to help us. Thanks for helping to get the seat final mounted and sliders fully operational tonight! Plus Shawn was a life saver touching up paint under the chassis.

The Friends of Lucas Fire-Rescue would like to thank Barry McNeal for his continued dedication to completing Streaker. Today Barry worked on finishing the custom fabricated below seat panels and final painting this area.

We also laid out the hosebed wood Unistrut framing that the white-oak final bed material will attach to. The final stain selection has been made for the white-oak and the mock up pieces were given a coat of polyurethane.

Progress continued on Streaker this weekend with Barry McNeal working on the seat closure pieces. Plus a pic of Garrett Zale that goes with the video of him working on the fuel injection system a few weekends ago.

Thanks to all our amazing volunteers.

The Streaker shop had a guest appearance by Eagle Scout Clayton Reining on Sunday reattaching the repainted ax holder and spanner wrench holder. Thanks for your help Clayton.

There was also progress made on the seat slider system by master fabricator Barry McNeal. Barry bent a custom seat slider rod from straight stock to get the seats to slide like its 1949. Thanks Barry for all your help.

For the first time in a very long time Ole’ Streaker has all of its critical emergency lights working. Thank Ret. Chief Craig Zale for all your effort on wiring the wig-wag lights and the beacon light! Awesome!
