Happy Thursday Allen!

I’m happy to announce that at this weeks City Council meeting I was appointed to serve on the Allen Parks and Recreation board. Looking forward to continuing my service to this community and playing a small role in keeping our parks, trails and programs top notch for Allen residents. Philip Brewer is a political candidate running for City Council Place 5 in Allen, TX. Philip is a firm believer that municipal government is and should remain non-partisan, putting the needs of the local community ahead of parties and political agendas.

Well, it’s been a little over a month since the runoff election. I have had time to decompress, reflect, vacation and sit down with this guy👇newly elected Allen City Councilman Dave Shafer. We had a great conversation reminiscing (and sharing a few laughs) over the election ups and downs, and more importantly, our passion for Allen. Throughout the campaign I had the privilege to meet most of the candidates, and while we didn’t always agree, I am confident we all had/have Allen’s best interest at heart. Sure, we might take a few different turns, but we are all headed to the same destination which is a thriving and vibrant community. I’m not sure what the future holds for me, but until I figure it out I’ll keep serving, working with our city leaders and giving back to this great community. A-Up 🦅!

Results are in. Thank you to the 3,935 Allen residents who cast their vote for me. I appreciate your trust and confidence. Thank you to all of the volunteers who supported, encouraged and served. Thank you to all who gave of your time and resources. I wouldn’t have made it this far without you. We ran a good, clean, positive campaign and I am proud of what we accomplished. New friendships have been made and old ones strengthened. And while we came up short in the end, we gave it our all, and I am proud to have had the opportunity to serve Allen. Thank you.
