Welcome Mable ❤️‍🩹

One of our board members found Mable walking alone in the road. After completing stray hold to no avail and finding no microchip it’s time for Mable to get the help she desperately needs.

As you can see Mable is a senior with horrible nails, she is underweight, has nasty ears and sores on her pads. She is limping on her hind end as well. We are unsure if she was possibly hit on her journey to rescue or if it’s simply old age and neglect.

We are working to get her into our vet and if that cannot be worked out she will go to emergency to get care in the meantime.

🇺🇸❤️ Memorial Day Reminder ❤️🇺🇸

Today we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. We are forever grateful for those who served and never made it home. 🇺🇸🐾

As you celebrate with family, friends, BBQs, and fireworks, please remember our pets may not understand the festivities the same way we do. 🎆

A few quick safety reminders for your furry family members:
🐾 Keep pets indoors during fireworks
🐾 Make sure collars and ID tags are secure
🐾 Close windows/curtains and turn on music or TV to help drown out noise
🐾 Avoid bringing pets to fireworks displays
🐾 Offer safe spaces, treats, and extra snuggles

Every year shelters see an increase in lost pets after fireworks, so let’s help keep everyone safe and home where they belong. ❤️

🎉 Happy Tails!! 🎉

From his first ride to the vet to his ride to his forever home. Neo is home ❤️

After months of treatment and love Neo was ready for his forever. After careful consideration we chose his family and by this face I think we chose right!

Neo is now living his best life in Georgia with GLBB alumni Coco and Winnie!

We can’t thank Kristine, Natalie and especially Alice for loving Neo and all the GLBB dogs so much!

This transformation would have never been possible without people like you. You have all been a part of his story and now he gets to just be a dog, sleep in bed, play with his toys, chew a bone and that’s because of all of us. 🐾

We’re not crying, you’re crying. Ok we are all crying! 😭

Athena is looking for a one in a million match.

A little bit about Athena AKA Thena Beans 🫘

She is a gorgeous almost 10 month old pup that is extremely shy.

She would do best with an outgoing confident dog, male preferably.

She requires a quiet home, without kids, that will have lots of patience and be dedicated to continuing her training.

She loves to play outside, taking toys out to running around with or digging wholes.

Athena is fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, crate and potty trained.

🚨🌧️ Severe Rain Warning 🐾

Heavy rain and possible flooding are in the area. Please take extra precautions to protect your pets:

🐶 Bring dogs indoors and don’t leave them outside in storms
💧 Avoid flooded areas
🐾 standing water can be dangerous and contaminated
🦺 Use a leash
🐾 reduced visibility and loud noises can cause panic
🏠 Make a safe, dry space where your dog feels secure
⚡ Watch for signs of stress like shaking, whining, or hiding
🔖 Make sure your dog is wearing a collar with up-to-date ID tags
📱 Double check that microchip information is current
🚪 Check all gates, fences, and doors
🐾strong winds and rain can loosen or open them
🛠️ Secure latches and look for gaps where a scared dog could escape
🔦 Do a quick yard scan for hazards like fallen branches or debris

If it’s not safe for you, it’s not safe for them!
