Congratulations to the Allen Park Middle School PTSA for all your hard work this year!

The entire board has done just an amazing job! 🤩🤩🤩

We are excited to announce that we have received the Gold Award for Membership Growth from the State of Michigan PTA! Our membership at APMS grew an incredible 63.6% this year, from just 154 members to 252! We are very proud of all of the good, meaningful change we've been able to create here at our school this year and could not have done it without the support of our families, students, staff & community. No matter how much you participated, you showed up in some way - big or small - and it has made such a difference.

We'd like to give a big shout out to our Membership Coordinator Jes Brown, who not only worked hard on our membership drive, but created space for our student members to participate and have an active role in our unit this year. We hope to only see our student membership grow as we do! Let's do great things together, Panthers!

Good morning, everyone,

First, we would like to take a moment to thank everyone who has reached out with questions and expressed concerns regarding the rumors surrounding the Lindemann PTA.

We understand that there is a great deal of frustration regarding this situation, and we are doing our best to communicate what we can.

As stated previously, this is an ongoing investigation; therefore, the Lindemann PTA is unable to speak on this matter at this time.

Out of respect for all individuals involved, we ask that you allow those responsible to complete their due diligence. There will be a meeting on May 26, and at that time, any questions that can be answered will be addressed.

Please also remember that although this council oversees certain aspects of individual PTA/PTSA units within the community, we are not a dictatorship.

Each unit is governed by its own standing rules and bylaws. We are here to offer support and guidance when needed, and throughout this process, we have continued to offer both our support and commitment to the unit.

At this time, that is all we are able to do.

The idea that this situation reflects on AP PTA/PTSA as a whole is simply not true.

The individual units within this community have done an outstanding job providing support and services for Allen Park families, including those at Lindemann.

This situation is very unfortunate, and we are confident that every unit will take the necessary precautions to help prevent something like this from happening in the future.

Please understand that we would never condone misconduct; however, we also cannot allow personal opinions to dictate how we proceed with an active investigation.

Although social media can be a helpful place to receive information, it does not always provide the most accurate or factual information.

Please wait for further communication from the council or the Lindemann PTA.

We appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter.

Any questions please email;

Allen Park PTA/PTSA Council would like to address the concerns surrounding Lindemann Elementary PTA. Both the Council and the Lindemann PTA Board are committed to transparency regarding the matter at hand. We respectfully ask that everyone refrain from spreading gossip, speculation, or false narratives while this matter is being reviewed.

Lindemann PTA requested that an independent financial review be conducted after PTA funds were reportedly stolen from a personal vehicle. During the review, several financial discrepancies were identified and are currently undergoing further examination.

*A police report has been filed and an insurance claim will be filed in an effort to recover the stolen funds.*

To strengthen financial oversight and ensure PTA governance and financial best practices are fully implemented moving forward, all 2026–2027 Lindemann PTA Board and committee members will participate in leadership and financial training provided by Michigan PTA.

At this time, neither Allen Park PTA/PTSA Council nor Lindemann PTA are able to discuss specific details related to the ongoing review. However, both organizations remain committed to addressing questions and concerns at the upcoming budget meeting scheduled for May 26, 2026.

After consultation with Michigan PTA, it was clarified that there has been no proof or determination of wrongdoing at this time. It is important to understand that a financial review is not a legal investigation and should not be interpreted as evidence of misconduct.

If you have any futher question please reach out to Council President Susan Wagner @ [email protected]
