💜

I’m Melissa Delizio. On Saturday October 4 , 2026 me my boy… Melissa Delizio needs your support for Rebuilding the Delizio and Yates Family Home After the Fire

The team’s been pretty busy and forgot to keep you all in the loop; we recently headed out to Levels, WV, to drop off a care package for a family of three who lost everything in a house fire. We think they have a GoFundMe set up, so we’ll share the link soon!

Thanks for your support! 💙

❤️ Care Closet in Action ❤️

This past week, items from our Care Closet are headed to an 18-month-old little boy whose family was impacted by a fire that started in his nursery.

We’re grateful to be able to provide some items to help during a difficult time, including:

🛁 Bath items
🧸 Toys
👕 Clothing
🧴 Personal care items
❤️ And more

This is exactly why the Care Closet exists — to help local families and provide a little support when they need it most.

A special thank-you to our member departments, volunteers, and community partners who help keep the Care Closet stocked and available to families in need. Together, we can make a difference. 🚒❤️

A Heartfelt Thank You ❤️

The Care Closet would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the wonderful volunteers from Baltimore Pike who graciously dedicated countless hours to organizing donations, improving our space, and helping us better serve families in need.

These amazing ladies went above and beyond, spending days folding, moving, sorting, and arranging items to ensure the Care Closet can continue providing support to those who need it most. Their hard work, dedication, and generosity have made a tremendous difference, and we are forever grateful for the time and effort they invested in our mission.

A Seasonal Safety Reminder 🏠

As the weather begins to turn colder, please take a few moments to inspect your home's heating sources. Make sure furnaces, space heaters, fireplaces, and chimneys are clean, properly maintained, and ready to safely heat your home this season. Taking preventive measures now can help keep your family safe and warm throughout the winter months.

6 counties. 1 city. Countless neighbors helped. ❤️

Since launching, the Care Closet has provided assistance to families in Allegany and Washington counties (MD), Fulton County (PA), Preston, Lewis, and Upshur counties (WV), and the City of Lynchburg, VA.

We've also been in contact with families in other counties and jurisdictions. While not every request has required direct assistance, we're grateful to be a resource whenever and wherever we're needed.

Thank you to everyone who supports this mission. Together, we're helping firefighters, first responders, and the communities they serve. 🚒🤝
