Just dropping in with highlights from some of our recent programs!

We’ve really been letting our creativity shine lately. We painted fall trees during Kids’ Cookies & Canvas, glazed one-of-a-kind clay bowls handcrafted by Eric from Essenburg Arts (can’t wait to see how they turn out once they’ve been fired in the kiln!), made leaf rubbings during Fall Family Storytime at the Armintrout-Milbocker Nature Preserve, crafted Halloween-themed black cat decorations, and learned to sew with Vicki Isola!

We’ve been learning so many new skills, too! The Lord of the Gourd visited us for a live pumpkin-carving demo, the Kellogg Bird Sanctuary taught us the basics of birdwatching, Haley Terpstra with Herbal Meadows Botanicals taught us how to make herbal tea blends and infused honey, we met local first responders at the Prepare Fair to learn about emergency preparedness... and so much more!

There’s always something to do at the library, and we still have so many fun programs coming up this fall. You can learn about them by checking out our newsletter or our calendar on alleganlibrary.org.
