Allegan Harvest Farm

It's been a few weeks since Silas came down with a blood infection. It took a little while, but by the grace of God, he has recovered. Thank you for your prayers.

The Harvest Farm is looking forward to starting a small house building project, as soon as the weather allows. We are looking for volunteers to help with the construction. We will give updates and prayer requests as the project unfolds.

Please pray for Silas. He has a blood infection in his foot and leg and was in the hospital for a week on IV's. He's not supposed to do anything until the Dr. saw him again today. It"s still very swollen, so he has to have it drained at a wound clinic. Please pray for complete healing! Thank you! 🙏

Thank you to the Core group from 3rd Reformed Church in Pella, Iowa and their leaders for all your hard work on July 6 splitting wood and stacking it for the Allegan Harvest Farm. What a great group of kids and hard workers! Finished off the afternoon with ice cream at Tri Ponds! A bonus was our oldest grandson, Taton, was in this group! 🙂

Steve was one of the original residents at Allegan Harvest Farm, and continues to make projects in the wood shop. We congratulate Steve & Melissa on the start of their new life together. May God richly bless you two!!

Doug had a good report on his eye, but the cataract surgery has been postponed till summer, due to the Covid 19. We are so thankful for a good report! Due to the Governor's restrictions, we've had to modify our Michigan Pork business because of restaurants closing, and have been selling more $100 bundles of meat to local customers, with a few individual whole hog sales, as well. If you are interested in some outside-raised Berkshire freezer meat, we have 20 lb bundles for $100. All USDA inspected. Please call Doug @ 269-355-3436, if interested. Silas continues to work hard with the hog work and the firewood, and is growing in character.
