Is demonic oppression real? Demons do affect people — tempting, opposing. But "possession" isn't what the Bible means; the word is a demon-caused passivity. And greater is He who's in you than he who's in the world.

It’s tempting to keep the parts of the Bible we’re comfortable with and quietly set the rest aside. But Jesus never treated Scripture that way — He upheld all of it as God’s authoritative Word. We don’t get to edit it to fit us; it’s meant to reshape us. That’s the heart of Pastor Mike’s new book.

Truth doesn't shift. When God says something, it isn't just a statement about what is — it's a guarantee of what will be. It's always going to happen. It's always true.

We serve a God with no variation, no shifting shadow. He does not mutate. He does not change.

That's why his promises hold. The same God who has kept the sunrise faithful, the seasons faithful, the boundaries of the sea faithful for thousands of years — that's the God whose Word you're standing on. You can build your life on something that immovable.

What promise of God are you leaning on right now?

Predestination was never meant to make you doubt. It's meant to give you assurance. Don't navel-gaze about election — look at the gospel, your response to it, and your fruit. Direction, not perfection.

Adulting is realizing the refrigerator doesn't fill itself. Gas costs money. So does the water heater, the wi-fi, the electricity keeping your food cold. Nobody's covering the tab anymore.
But how's your spiritual adulting going?

Because here's what's easy to miss: every good gift and every perfect gift comes from God. His hand is delivering these things to you — a lot more than you probably think about. And the difference between someone who trusts God and someone who doesn't isn't the gift. It's whether you make the connection back to the Giver.

What's one ordinary gift you're thankful for today that you usually overlook?

Singing, playing guitar, running the soundboard — none of those are on the list in Scripture. But if the Spirit works through you for the good of the church, that's a spiritual gift.

They’ve banned it, burned it, and outlawed it in every century — and it’s still the best-selling book the world has ever known (U.S. Bible sales climbed 22% just last year). You can’t silence what God has spoken. His Word outlasts every empire that sets out to bury it (Isaiah 40:8). Pastor Mike unpacks why in his new book.

When a bad season hits — the diagnosis, the betrayal, the loss — the honest question most of us reach for is: Why? Why, God, why?
And it may be the wrong question.

There's a better one: How? How do I go about dealing with this? How do I move forward with faith?

The pile on your workbench feels like a mess to you. But it's not a mess to God. Every piece was designed, and it all fits together somehow — even when the instructions are hidden from you.

Stop asking why. Start asking how.

What's one situation where switching from "why" to "how" changed things for you?

Caught up to meet the Lord in the air, then back with Him to the ground. That's Pastor Mike's read of the pre-trib case — the church taken before the tribulation.

There's a word for what happens when God does something no one else could do — when the snake bite doesn't kill, when the fever breaks at a word. The Bible calls it a miracle.

But miracles were never meant to be a show. Their purpose, as Hebrews 2 lays out, was to affirm and confirm that the message is God's.

God authenticated his spokesmen. He put the attestation of heaven on them, so that when they spoke — and later wrote — you could have certainty they were telling the truth. That's why your Bible is trustworthy. Not magic tricks for every generation. A message, delivered and verified.
Why do you trust the Bible is true?
