The Villas at Aliso Viejo HOA Board is pleased to provide you with important details regarding the Aliso Niguel High School 2025 Graduation Ceremony, which will take place on Thursday, June 5, 2025. This event may impact traffic and access to our community, and we ask for your cooperation to ensure a smooth experience for all. Landlords are highly encouraged to forward this notice to their tenants to ensure everyone is informed.

Event Details and Community Impact:

-The Orange County Sheriff's Department (OCSD) will begin road closures and direct traffic for the event no later than 2:00 p.m. and continue until approximately 5:30 p.m.
-Deerhurst will be completely closed to road traffic from no later than 2:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.
-OCSD will manage traffic flow along Wolverine, accommodating both graduation attendees and local residential traffic. Please pay close attention to all signage and follow directions provided by Sheriff's Deputies during this time.
-To protect our community, the HOA has arranged for a guard from OC Patrol to be stationed at our entrance. The guard will ensure that only residents and their authorized guests enter the complex, preventing graduation attendees from using our community as overflow parking. We kindly ask that you treat the guard with respect, as they are there to support our community’s safety and convenience.

We strongly recommend allowing extra time to reach your destination or return to our community during these hours, as delays are expected due to increased traffic and road closures.

REMINDER: There is no trash service this week due to the road seal project.

Reminder that tomorrow, May 28th, begins the road sealing and slurry project.

There are maps posted throughout the community on mail boxes and on buildings. Please review the map so you know when the area in front of your home will be worked on.

NOTE: Slurry takes 24 hours to cure, so the area in front of your home will be closed from 7 a.m. the day listed for 24 hrs all the way to 7 a.m. the following morning, so:
- Wednesday 7 a.m. until Thursday 7 a.m.
- Thursday 7 a.m. until Friday 7 a.m.
- Friday 7 a.m. until Saturday 7 a.m.

During that time there is NO VEHICLE TRAFFIC allowed on the slurry'd area, and any vehicle found on that area during that time will result in the owner being fined and potentially paying for re-treatment of any roadway they damage.

REMINDER: There is NO TRASH SERVICE THIS WEEK. Trash service will resume, Thursday, June 5, 2025.

**STREET MAINTENANCE STARTS MONDAY MAY 5TH**

Our 3-year street asphalt project will begin on 7:30 a.m. on Monday, May 5th, and finish at 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 8th at 5 p.m. The map below shows which areas of the community will be worked on each day of that week.

THE CITY HAS CONFIRMED YOU CAN PARK ON DEERHURST MAY 5-8, including overnight. PLEASE OBEY ALL PARKING SIGNS so your vehicle is not cited.

TRASH PICKUP UPDATE: Our trash service for the week of this project HAS BEEN MOVED TO FRIDAY MAY 9TH. Please do not put your trashcans out until after 5 p.m. on Thursday May 8th so that the asphalt workers can do their work.

On the day your area will be worked on (see map), you will not have vehicle/pedistrian access to Sandcastle from 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. If you forget YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO TAKE YOUR VEHICLE OUT OF YOUR GARAGE OR DRIVE/WALK ON THAT SECTION OF SANDCASTLE UNTIL 5 PM THAT DAY.

There are no permit requirements that week, so you may park your normally-garaged vehicle in "PERMIT" spaces the entire week with no citations or towing. HOWEVER YOU STILL MAY NOT PARK IN OTHER'S RESERVED SPACES and this is STILL a Towable offense.
For residents using "Reserved" spaces you must ALSO have your vehicle moved from your Reserved space on the day your area is affected from 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. or suffer immediate towing at your expense.

Residents/Guests found walking or driving on affected areas during the day that area is being repaired may face fines and will have to pay for any and all damage they cause.

STREET REPAVING PROJECT UPDATE

The project will begin Monday, May 5th and will continue through the entire week and finish on Friday, May 9th.

More details to come but we wanted you to put this on your calendars now.

This will be phase 2 of a comprehensive 5-year plan to perform necessry repairs to Sandcastle Rd which is now in its 35th year of use. Phase 3 will occur in 2028.

Again, more details to come including schedules and maps, but we wanted to give you a heads up as soon as we confirmed the dates with the street company.
