BSA/ Scouting America Troop 423, Center Twp, PA For over 60 years, boys from Center Twp & Beaver County have joined Troop 423 for adventure, fun, & service /leadership opportunities.

Visit Us Mondays 7-8:30pm at the Center Twp #3 Fire Hall at 110 Van Kirk Rd. Scoutmaster- Craig A Valent (Eagle Scout) We are a Scout lead, but adult guided troop that has been serving youth for over 60 years! Boys from all over the Beaver Valley have joined our troop over the years because the scouts have fun and go on many outdoor adventures. 243 has recently been to summer camps in Woodruff, G

A, Haliburton, Canada, Buck Tom's, TN, Crooked Creek, KY, and Heritage Reservation, PA. We have also been on shorter trips involving skiing/snowboarding, whitewater rafting, hiking, and scout skills. Come stop by at Center Twp Firehall #3 on Van Kirk Road- We are outside at the pavilion from mid April until mid November and inside the Fire Hall at other times.

The Troop 423 adults took home the Top Camp Chef award at Summit! A Camp cooked meal of smoked pulled pork, chicken leg, and sausage with corn on the cob and camp made BBQ sauce!

Troop 423 cleaned house at tonight’s final Beaver Valley District Leader recognition event! It is clear that we have one of the strongest troops in the county!
Congratulations to:
Scoutmaster of the Year- Craig Valent;
Most Valuable Scouter AND Scouters Training Award- Bob Chamberlain (Committee Chair);
Sparkplug Award- Phil Ananea (Committee QM);
District Award of Merit- Val Frantz (former T423 committee member)
Craig was also recognized with the Most Valuable Scouter award for his work on the Committee of Troop 9444.

Come eat at the Center McDonald’s on Pleasant Drive on Monday from 5-7pm and support Troop 423! The boys will be there helping out!
