BCHS Foster Friends Foster families are a vital network that enable us to expand our ability to care for animals far beyond the walls of our shelter.

By fostering a homeless animal, you can experience the joys of being a pet parent without the lifetime of responsibility.

There is only one week left to purchase your tickets for the Big Cash Raffle!

You can only purchase tickets in person at the shelter, printing a copy of the ticket sheet from the link below, or purchase them at the Beaver County Humane Society Thrift Store in Beaver Falls!

We can only accept checks and cash due to the Pennsylvania laws regarding online raffles.

Please visit: https://beavercountyhumanesociety.org/big-cash-raffle/ to learn more or to print the PDF of the ticket sheet. Be sure to get your tickets and payment dropped off at the shelter or sent to us before Monday, November 7!!

The drawing will be held live on the shelter's page in the late afternoon on Monday, November 7th!

We are in DESPERATE need of foster families for BOTH dogs and cats. Want to take on a new furry best friend and give them a much needed break from the shelter?

A few days, a few weeks, or a couple of months will greatly help the animal and will also tremendously help us right now. We provide all medical care. We also provide food if needed. You provide the home and love.šŸ’— They have their bags packed and are waiting!

Help BCHS receive donated cat litter!

Catā€™s PrideĀ® wants to help more shelter cats find forever homes. For every GREEN JUGā„¢ of Catā€™s PrideĀ® you buy, they will donate a pound of litter to shelters like ours.

Donā€™t forget to nominate our shelter to receive more litter! Here's how to nominate BCHS:

1. Go to catspride.com and sign up for the free Catā€™s PrideĀ® Club.
2. Click on the ā€œNominateā€ button, search by our 15001 ZIP code and nominate us. The more nominations, the more litter we are
eligible to receive.
3. Buy THE GREEN JUGā„¢ of Catā€™s PrideĀ® for your cats at home. Every time you do, more litter is added to the total amount donated.

šŸ’„Fostering Saves Lives! Can you help us help them? šŸ’„

Our shelter is currently at max capacity. Please help us make room to help more animals in and around our community. If you are able to foster for a quick day-cation, a brief weekend sleepover, or until they find their permanent family, please do so!

Rowan recently had a 'dogventure' last weekend, and this video is a great example of what we may not get to see from him in a shelter environment.

Fostering Saves Lives!

An update from Rowan's 'dogventure' with one of our staff members.

"The adventures of Rowan! Rowan spent the weekend with me. While I'm an employee and not a Volunteer, I know he has some fans on here!! He fits in flawlessly with the five pugs! The crabby one has kept him on his toes. He takes correction well when he is rude. From both the dogs and the cats. He does want to chase the kitties if they run, but it's short-lived because most of my cats have trained a dog or 2 in their years here. They put Rowan right in his place.

He slept in bed with me last night all by himself. I didn't want to leave him unattended with any other pets just yet. He has had zero accidents in the house and I strongly suggest a dog friend in his new home!!! He will be coming back to spend more time in foster. He seems like a piece of cake compared to my past fosters."

Find A Foster Friday!

Meet adoptable Dragonfly and Firefly!

"Hello. We're Dragonfly and Firefly. We are both one-year-old, neutered, male domestic shorthaired cats. We came to the shelter together at the end of June. We get along with other cats, especially each other. The shelter is a bit much for us both so finding a foster home would be nice. We would open up much faster in a calm, adult only home. We can go to a new home with each other or seperate, but in the mean time we are looking for a foster family. A break from the shelter would be greatly appreciated! If you want to foster two beautiful boys like us please apply to be our foster family."
