Sometimes the very thing you're looking for is right in front of you and you don't see it. That perfectly describes Tony Edwards and Elite Urban Youth. We had a working relationship dating back to 2012 but as soon as Heads UP Houston was launched Mr. Edwards and his organization became inseperable from Heads UP Houston. Always there, in the background, shying away from pictures but never the work. We cultivated volunteers, raised young men and women and changed the landscape of Alief ISD athletics and academics with only the hearts, minds and passion of three black men. We are forever indebted for your contributions and could never had made it passed year 1 without you. Thank you to Tony Edwards and the Elite Urban Youth Organization, true Heads UP Houston Hall of Famers!!!

One of the first STARS Eric Spurlock has always played bigger than his stature. The only thing bigger than his on the court smile is his off the court personality. Eric is a winner in the classroom, on the baseball field, on the football field or on the basketball and we look forward to seeing Eric be a winner in life. Congratulations on being a Heads UP Houston Hall of Famer!!!

Where it all began. August 20 2016. 1st HUH Officially sponsored event partnering with 5Works and Premier on Woodfair for our B2S Block Party. This was 2 months after establishing Heads UP Houston. God has been orchestrating our SHINE since Day 1. Happy STARS SHINE WEEK 2026. HUH IS 10!

Silvio, Sasha, Savannia, Isaiah, Guardian and Mama Bear ...a family of love, passion and dedication to helping others. From the first day, the Simmons-Auguilar Family has been a blessing to Heads Up Houston. Silvio is the oldest brother, the consummate worker and stern but loving example to his younger siblings. Sasha is the oldest sister who always has a smile for every situation. Savannia is the athlete of the family. Isaiah is the intellectual. Guardian is the biggest in size but youngest in age with a heart of gold. Mama Susie and Poppa Sean holding it all together. We appreciate your contributions to Heads UP and we wouldn't be able to grow without you

Every practice, every training, every volunteer opportunity, one person was always there. A true Heads UP Hall of Famer on and off the court. We love you KV. One of the most genuine and sincere people you can ever meet in life. Congratulations on being a Heads Up Hall of Fame member.

The most decorated Heads UP Houston participate ever, boys or girls. She has earned All District honors in track, volleyball and basketball since middle school. Record breaking times and all time marks at Marshall and Woolridge, Savannia received multiple college offers for multiple sports and will be playing division 2 basketball in the fall. Savannia gives back with her time, her skill and knowledge and we look forward to seeing her be great in the future. A true Heads UP STAR!! ⭐ ⭐
