Good morning beautiful people of Jim Wells County.

Our KBDI numbers are elevated over the threshold. Commissioner Court approved a 90 burn ban. If we get a significant amount of rain that lowers our numbers, we can lift the burn ban at anytime before the 90 days.

We have burn notifications (it can be found on our county website) that will allow one to be able to burn.

July 14, 2025 /8:08 AM- Flood watch continues until 9AM. Today, our station will be backfilled by Bexar County 2 Fire Department Ambulance, Alice Fire Department Engine Comany, and TIFMAS Texas Intrastate Fire Mutual Aid System Texas A&M Forest Service maintained by Texas A&M Forest Service. This was coordinated through the Kendall County Office of Emergency Management & Fire Marshal. Come by and give them a big Bergheim hello and thank you.

A family came by Station 1 today asking for donations to help with their dogs vet bill because of a broken leg. Donations can be made directly to the Veterinary Office by the phone number on the paper. The dogs name is Cash. Thank you in advance for all donations.
