First District PTA First District PTA was the “first” PTA district established by the California State PTA in 1912.

We provide support and leadership to over 240 school site PTAs and 21 council PTAs.

Next week is designated Safe Schools Week to draw attention to the continuing problem of school violence and strengthen practices, partnerships, policies and actions to help ensure schools are safe and supportive places. California voters will decide a full slate of statewide measures on November 3, and several will shape school funding, health care, housing, and voting rights for California families. California State PTA reviewed each one through the lens of its mission to positively impact the lives of all children, youth, and families.

California State PTA supports Propositions 1, 2, 3, and 40 and opposes Propositions 39, 41, 42, and 43. See the positions and the reasoning behind them at capta.org/PTA-Votes, and vote by November 3. 🗳️
