Algona Rotary Club

Algona Rotary Club The Algona Rotary Club meets on Mondays at Noon at AK's Chrome Kitchen. The Rotary SAIL members meet quarterly. Rotary means SERVICE ABOVE SELF.

All members participate in service projects and events to improve our community and the world. We meet challenges where we are needed in our community, state, and the world. Each Rotarian vows to promote understanding, friendship, and peace throughout the world in whatever way he/she can. Our Algona Rotary Club provides great oppportunities, on a weekly basis, for community involvement and collabo

ration. Our Algona RotarySAIL membership is a sub-group created with the purpose of advancing our mission to individuals who are able to collaborate on a less structured and/or regular basis. Contact us if you wish to participate under either one of these two club membership formats.

Dolly Parton believed in the power of literacy and so does Rotary. She partnered with Rotary International for her Imagination Library project. She wanted every child to fall in love with reading, and became Honorary Rotary Member because of her longstanding partnership. Rest in Peace Dolly.

District Governor Jeff Halverson visited our club today and spoke with us about District 5970 and he challenged us to 1. Read the Rotary magazine, 2. Routinely review and talk about our club goals, and 3. Work to get 100% of our club members as Paul Harris Fellows. Assistant District Governor, Nancy Anderson was also able to attend our club meeting.
