Algona Rotary Club The Algona Rotary Club meets on Mondays at Noon at AK's Chrome Kitchen. The Rotary SAIL members meet quarterly. Rotary means SERVICE ABOVE SELF.

All members participate in service projects and events to improve our community and the world. We meet challenges where we are needed in our community, state, and the world. Each Rotarian vows to promote understanding, friendship, and peace throughout the world in whatever way he/she can. Our Algona Rotary Club provides great oppportunities, on a weekly basis, for community involvement and collaboration. Our Algona RotarySAIL membership is a sub-group created with the purpose of advancing our mission to individuals who are able to collaborate on a less structured and/or regular basis. Contact us if you wish to participate under either one of these two club membership formats.

We were honored to have Algona police officers Daniel Cotterill and Kira come and speak to us about their training and partnership. Our community is blessed to have them serve and protect to residents of Algona.

The program today for the Algona Rotary Club was presented by club members. Due to a scheduling conflict for the planned program presenter our program chair got creative. Club members present shared 1 - Why they Rotary and 2 - what their favorite Rotary event is. We all learned things we didn’t know about our fellow club members and received a reminder about what a great club we have. It was also another reminder of our Rotary motto - Service Above Self.
