New this year!!
🚨 ATTENTION: THERE WILL BE A NO CANDY ZONE ALONG THE BAND DAY PARADE ROUTE 🚨
For the safety of our marching band members and spectators, the area along State Street where bands are being judged will be designated as a NO CANDY ZONE during the Band Day Parade.
HOW WILL YOU KNOW WHERE THE NO CANDY ZONE IS?
The judging area will be marked by two American flags suspended above State Street — one near the light pole in front of Pet Kingdom and the other near the light pole in front of Pep’s Bar.
The area BETWEEN the two American flags is the BAND JUDGING ZONE and NO CANDY ZONE.
🍬 Parade entries have been instructed NOT to throw or hand out candy while traveling through this area. This helps keep spectators from entering the street to pick up candy while the bands are performing and being judged.
👨👩👧👦 ATTENTION FAMILIES WITH YOUNG CHILDREN: We recommend choosing a viewing location outside of the No Candy Zone, especially if your kids are looking forward to collecting candy during the parade. Candy may be distributed along the parade route before and after the judging area.
Please keep this in mind when choosing your spot to watch the parade, and help us spread the word to other Band Day spectators!
Thank you for helping us keep Band Day safe for our bands and spectators!
