Alger Community Food Bank would love extra fruits and veggies from your garden! Produce grown by the community is such a wonderful addition to the food bank offerings. We've received carrots, kale, winter squash, lettuce and more. Thank you so much!

The food bank will be open during the Sunday Market for folks to take what they need from Amy's Closet. We kindly ask that you give what you can.

Alger Community Food Bank could use some help at the Alger Sunday Market yard sale this Sunday, July 12th (10am-3pm). We could also use help getting ready for the event. We're planning a work party at the food bank this Friday, July 10th @ 10am! We'll be sorting through donations, organizing Amy's Closet & cleaning. Contact Anette if you're interested in helping! Skagit Valley Food Co-op chooses four Tokens for Tomorrow recipients each quarter. By bringing in reusable shopping bags, customers earn tokens worth 8¢ each, which can be donated to four local organizations. Alger Community Food Bank is honored to be selected as a recipient from July 1st to September 30th. Please help spread the word about this chance to support the food bank. We are grateful for the community's support.

Thank you to everyone who has donated to Alger Community Food Bank! We received positive feedback from donors and volunteers after posting our current needs list last month. I will post them more often going forward. And now we have Amy's Closet (second-hand room) with household goods, clothing, books and so much more. Everyone is welcome to give what they can and take what they need. It's heartwarming to see it all come together. Thank you so much!
