True Hearts Farm

True Hearts Farm Barbara Davis, founder of True Hearts Farm (THF), took a leap of faith and followed her own heart and bought her first horse Copper 12 years ago.

Since then, Barbara has rescued and acquired 9 horses. Some of which have had sad but unique stories around them. Over the years, Barbara has had a vision that one day she would provide a place where people could come and enjoy the wonders of nature in a serene environment. It wasn't clear until recently......and the story unfolds as the "proverbial soup" that has been cooking on the stove for the

past 12 years. Barbara uses the soup analogy to discribe how True Hearts Program unfolded. The "soup" which has simmered on low for many years has never had the right combination of ingredients and seasonings to say that it was ready to be served. With the many twists and turns life can bring the "soup" never got finished until now......Now the "soup" is done, the right ingredients and seasonings have been added, and it's ready to be served to the community, hence......

True Hearts Farm (THF) and it's program was developed and inspired from the driving force that which motivates Barbara. With the help of her "Angels With Horsehair" which includes the rescued neglected, abused, or unwanted horses and rest of the herd, we have chosen to begin our program working with the many different children and or families that are affiliated with organizations and programs in the community such as but not limited to; Big Brother/Big Sister programs, fostering families, divorced families, and the Caring Unlimited organization. We hope to bring simple family core values to the forefront by providing a place for families to come and work together, to learn basic horsemanship and or partake in the rehabilitaion of our adopted horses. With our horse rehabilitation program, we hope to teach individuals of all ages or families that come and want to help what is needed to care for our special needs horses at whatever level of care you are comfortable with. We know that we will have many types of people, some people that are familiar with horses, some people that don't know anything about horses, and even people that are intimidated by horses. Rest assure, we are prepared to work with all levels. Our program will be starting part time, with a vision and inspiration to grow to become full time. True Hearts Farm is aspiring to become a non profit and diligently working towards acquiring our non-profit status with the arduous application process. This will enable us to work with other businesses in the community that want to share in our vision.

CORE VALUES "To enrich and positively impact peoples' lives through the nurturing care of our horses enjoying fun outdoor activities in the peace and quiet of nature." VISION With a caring infrastructure and the use of our beloved animals at True Hearts Farm, we believe people will more easily learn to find solutions to their own problems within the relationships they build with our equine family at THF. Most animals react to non-verbal communication in a special way which makes them ideal partners to facilitate healing and teach us about ourselves. They are honest and nonjudgmental. True Hearts Farm's interactions are designed to emphasize the development of good character, sound personal values and lasting life skills.
