Sometimes trusting the program is the best plan. This ewe lamb kept getting her teeth kicked in. Multiple last place finishes. And I’m sure it was hard for Hadaly to deal with it. We just kept saying she’s good livestock. Stay the feeding course. She will look right on the day we were shooting for.

Feeding sheep is hard. They can’t be right every day. But they can be right the day it matters.

Uncle T.j. Schroeder called this spring and said we need a good one for Tyson’s first year. TJ worked here while he went to BHE. He’s like family. So we loaded up a real good ewe lamb that won a bunch in the Volunteer state. While they were here this guy caught their eye in the load and go pen! He’s been raising the roof ever since.

We call her CAM-TASTIC because she’s just that… pretty darn fantastic!

Cami’s older sister, Carly, showed sheep for us before aging out, and now this sister duo is back in the barn—working their tails off together and chasing big goals for Cami. We absolutely love watching it unfold!

In Cami’s very first year showing sheep, she not only won her county, but also earned Bronze Overall at The Throwdown and punched her ticket to the Parade of Champions at the Illinois State Fair.

That’s one heck of a first year—and we think that’s pretty darn CAM-TASTIC! 🏆

Determined. Coachable. Driven.

Three words that perfectly describe this girl and the work she’s putting in. We can’t wait to see where this journey takes her!

Hayden may be newer to Team TCL/TMT, but the history behind this partnership is anything but new.

Hayden’s dad, Keith, and Brent go way back — all the way to their high school judging days. That friendship continued through the University of Illinois, and Keith even stood alongside us on our wedding day.

And now, here we are, watching the next generation carry that friendship and passion forward. That generational connection is pretty special, and it’s even cooler to watch it unfold in the show ring.

Luke. He’s new to the sheep ring, but his drive to do better and be better is already inspiring to us as breeders. When kids come along who are driven AND coachable, that’s a combination we don’t take for granted.

They listen. They work. They ask questions. They take the good with the bad and come back ready to improve. That kind of mindset is what makes this industry so special—and makes us excited to be a small part of Luke’s journey.

It’s time to start highlighting our winners from the Illinois State Fair, and we think this is a very fitting place to start.

We appreciate Karly and the Reel family more than we can say. Over the last few years, they came to us with big goals, especially as Karly was inching closer to aging out. This girl flat knows how to stick one in the ring, and that made us excited to be a part of her journey.

This year, she made the trip to the dirt and earned herself a well-deserved spot in the Champions Barn at the IL State Fair.

Karly, thank you for believing in our program and allowing us to be a small part of your journey. You have been an exceptional mentor and role model to so many of the younger kids coming up behind you.
We can’t wait to see what the future holds for you and where this industry takes you next!
